About
The store has been a part of Provo Island life since the 1990's. It moved from Downtown to it's current location at Graceway Plaza in 2004. In 2012 the business was purchased by it's current owners Mark & Kiki, who fell in love with the island earlier that year ! Unicorn Bookstore is a small family run business, here to offer a friendly and personal service to all. It is more than just a Bookstore, it has Toys, Games, Gifts, Art Supplies, Magazines and Souvenirs. It also sells tickets for many of the events on the island. Ok so this was another amazing Unicorn we found!! The second one on the island. We rented a car to go to the Conch Shack. Shockingly it was more expensive to get a cab so we rented a car and went a few places. We went to the supermarket across from Unicorn before we saw the Unicorn bookstore! Everyone was so excited since we had been to the one in Salt Mills already. They were curious how this one was different and what they may have that the other one didn’t. Well I bought a pop-it there that I have in my purse for myself!! They saw all kinds of treasures and I found a great frame for a father to put a nice trip picture in! What a great little place! Great books and toys and souvenirs and random things!! If we didn’t rent that car we would have never gotten here! I’m so glad we did! Definitely worth checking out!

My younger sister got sunburn and I was given the job of looking after her while everyone else went to the beach! After driving to the main grocery store, I saw the shop called Unicorn Bookstore, (it's not that easy to find) but as you enter the car park it's on the right. Anyway, I thought I'd check it out in the hope that I'd find something to pass the afternoon indoors. To my luck it had a ton of art supplied, paper, paints, pencils (for my sister) and a selection of books (for me.) I also picked up a family card game for after dinner called Exploding Kittens which was a huge hit! The lady in the shop was very friendly and recommended the Retreat as a healthy place for lunch.
The Unicorn Bookstore was a very lucky find, with a huge range of games, souvenirs, Art Supplies and magazines, and meant I didn't have much hassle from my sister that afternoon. Apparently there is another location at Salt Mills Plaza which is closer to where I was staying (Grace Bay) but I never found that one! I can't say the prices are amazon but everything on the TCI seems quite expensive! Anyway, I would highly recommend the bookstore!

I went in to find a book on the reef fish we were seeing on dives (the one I ordered was the wrong one on corals). The prices are a bit high but in order to have it immediately, I was more than happy to support a local store. They have some fascinating books on the local history as well and the woman who worked there was very nice and helpful!

They have a big variety of products and I was able to get some decent watercolor paints and pad. Not inexpensive but expected that. Next time I’ll bring mine instead but happy I found them!

We are very sorry you had an unacceptable experience in our store. We have spoken with all our staff and are having a training program this weekend to improve our customer experience within our shops.
However, I must disagree with your comment that our merchandise is old. I just ran a report that shows 73% of all our book titles were published in the last 2 years, 9% were published in the last 8 weeks. We work hard to ensure we have the latest titles within days of them being published in the United States. We also try to follow the latest trends in the USA for toys & gifts by attending trade shows in Vegas and Atlanta twice a year.
You clearly did not have a good experience in our store and I am very sorry for that and we will strive to improve, but to classify our merchandise as old is inaccurate. We hope you are prepared to try our store again and we would be happy to offer you a discount on your next book purchase.

I wasn’t planning on painting while here on vaca but changed my mind and thankfully was able to buy everything I needed. Additionally we had 2 pieces of luggage delayed which 1 was “Santa’s”. We were able to find several toys, books and games at the second unicorn book store.

Staff at the shop are always very helpful in getting any reading material ordered in . Great shop they stock all the latest Mags.

It is very convenient to Provo's IGA supermarket. The store has very nice gift objects, books for reading on the beach, and a good selection of toys for children. In the "downtown" Provo area, I didn't find much good souvenir shopping so this store was a find. Be aware that prices in TCI are not inexpensive.

So we ran out of reading materials after the first week of our two-week stay. Thank goodness we found this store just across from the IGA. It has a limited but good selection of new and older books for every taste, we stocked up twice.
