Located on St. Croix's north shore, the waters are not always gentle along this palm-tree-lined beach, but scuba diving and snorkeling are very popular here where less than 200 yards out is the drop-off called Cane Bay Wall.

If you're on St. Croix, and you want to swim and snorkel, go to Cane Bay. Friends took us there, and they supplied the beach chairs, umbrellas against the hot hot sun, snorkel gear and fins. We both felt that the ocean here is a degree or two cooler than on the east end, which is probably ridiculous, but it... More

The shallow beach at Cane Bay is a fun and relaxing place to hang out. Lounge chairs are available for a small fee at Eat at Cane Bay or Sprat-Net on the beach. The water is clear and warm, with a sandy bottom that stays quite shallow for a distance. We enjoyed snorkeling the coral reef, and doing a dive... More

The sand is nice and soft and the water is beautiful. Not rocky or full of seaweed. Perfect place to get in and cool off or grab a ring and snorkel out to the reef. Pleanty of choices for food when you get hungry and you can enjoy it soaking wet, no problem. We went back several times and really... More

If you've acquainted yourself with St. Croix, (assuming you're a visitor and exploring the island) you may have come to know several idyllic places where you can kick back, sightsee, get rum drunk or just enjoy a great meal. One of those places you should visit if you are taking in all of St. Croix, (which I recommend you do)... More

ALL I CAN SAY...DONT MISS THIS BEACH. Great swimming and snorkling, diving, or just hanging out on the beach. Peaceful, resturant, good stand and drinks near beach. Don't forget SUNSCREEN and beach cover-ups.

We parked on the side of the road and got right in to snorkel--nice beach, good underwater sights too. Very peaceful.

The beach is so small, loaded with Fire ants in the grass!! Snorkeling was at the best average, we swam out to the wall on many occasions, so much dead coral and reef it is sad!! No decent food in the area, except for Waves for dinner, and Carambola for either lunch and dinner!! The beach at Carambola was so... More

We were there from 11-5 on a Saturday (during off-season) and I don't think there was ever more than 20 people on the beach. Two bars right across the road (any beach where you can take a beer with you into the water is awesome in my book)!! Clearest water I have ever seen. You need water shoes if you... More

Cane Bay is one of the larger beaches on the island, and it doesn't disappoint in terms of beauty. The water is beautiful, and there is the opportunity to shore dive with The Wall site accessed by swimming out about a 100 yards from this beach. Plenty of good bar and restaurant options for the chill traveler. This is a... More
