Nice historical place

It is a small fort, but very interesting and gives a good idea of the island's history. Other than the canons placement there is not much contents in this fort.

I am not into history at all but loved this place. We had a hour to spare and wondered in. Glad we did as it was very interesting to walk through

It only costs a couple of dollars to do this and you get a nice feel of the history. The dungeon was probably the best part. Hard to believe that a person could spend months in this hole. It only takes about 30-45 minutes to do this and it's worth doing if you enjoy history.

This was interesting but very hard to read about the slavery and how individuals were treated then. The structures were very well preserved, The church was closed for construction during our visit, it would have been fun to see.

Take the time to visit the fort. It probably won't take more than 1/2 hour to walk through. It is part of the history of the island and pretty neat, especially the dungeon and cells. I just wish they had live tour guides, preferably in period costumes that could provide more detailed information and answer questions. You do get a... More

This fort never saw action (which is why you build forts) but it's a fun diversion with some good exhibits. A lot of the outdoor plaques are sun-bleached, but there is plenty to see here. Go into the 'black hole' too and find out what a dungeon was. It's a good little trip back to the past. Take note of... More

I took a walk through Fort Christiansted while visiting the Island. The history of the Fort is very interesting in itself but inside you'll find information about Christiansted as well. I enjoyed my time there and would recommend seeing it.

I love history, so strolling through Fort Christiansvaern is right up my alley. The fort is wide open with nooks to peak into and lots of information. Also, the view from up top is amazing!

We enjoyed our trip to Fort Christiansvaern. It's a great area to walk around. The Fort commands great views from the top. We were up there for at least 45 minutes enjoying the very windy day while watching a sailboat work its way into the safety of the harbor.
