Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Once known as Coconut Park, this downtown Charlotte Amalie community park was renamed in 1945 to honor FDR’s visit. Five granite pedestals represent the five branches of the military. Bronze plaques honor the territory’s veterans who died defending the USA. While St. Thomas has its own distinctive culture and history, Old Glory waves here as a reminder that it is part of the United States.

If this USA President were still alive, he would greatly pleased on how they remember him on this island. Well maintained, litter free and lots of places to sit. Even have plaques about him as well within this park.

This park was a wonderful way to commendate the fallen soldiers. The park is very relaxing and peaceful. There are plenty of trees and benches to sit under. Nice place to collect your thoughts.

I enjoyed sitting here for a while watching the locals, other tourists, and chickens. There was good shade and overall peaceful surroundings.

Nice little park to sit a bit! It was part of our tour. We enjoyed knowing why the park was constructed and why FDR was honored there.

Nice tribute to President Roosevelt and USVI residents that were killed in the military. The park has shade trees, a fountain, and lots of benches to sit on. There is also a playground for children. Great locations! Bonus is off-road FREE parking. Didn't see any homeless (they were all in Emancipation Park) but there were lots of island chickens. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

This is a memorial park devoted to Franklin D. Roosevelt. The size of a city block, well worth a stroll around during your visit to Charlotte Amalie.
