Beautiful beach (better view), definitely a public beach, can be crowded.

We visited Magens Bay on a previous trip to St Thomas in November 2015, are happy we did, but once is enough. There wasn't anything wrong, but didn't feel compelled to return for just the stunning view on our most recent trip. If we didn't have a beach where we were staying this last time, that would have been a... More

I do not understand why this beach gets so high in rating. This beach looks a lot more beautiful if you view it from the mountain but it does not look as great when you are actually there. The facilities are not clean and the toilets are little bit smelly.

Our favorite beach in St. Thomas. We stayed there for 10 days and went to this beach at least 1/2 the days. It has an amazing shoreline and so much space. It is well worth the entrance fee. Only warning would be: take note of how much cruise ships are docked for the day because it get crowded near the... More

We had a full day in Magen's beach in both our holidays in the USVI. The natural bay is very deep and the beach is awesome. Crystal clear water, fishes and turtles, white sand. A natural miracle. 5$ to enter, bar and services, tree shadows in case of need, good for kids. Just avoid cruise days or hours.

My favorite beach by far. Good family fun. Places to eat and water sports are readily available! Love it!

Visiting for the day while on a cruise. Cab ride was $8 each way and a $5 fee to enter the beach. It wasn't too busy and it was very relaxing.

Magens Bay is definitely a sight and an experience. The only reason why I won't rate it higher is because the other beaches in St. John are even better. However, Magen's Bay certainly offers a wide stretch of clean, beautiful beach. It's well cared for and there are facilities. Unfortunately for me, the water wasn't clear when we were there,... Had a lot of fun here. Great for running as it is off the streets (which we not not recommend running on). We went into the nature paths and along the water. We did two loops which was about 3.5 miles. Everyone is friendly. Bring your suits so you can enjoy the beach. Aparantly there is a nude beach on... More

We have come here on a cruise ship every year for over a decade. Still one of the nicest beaches available. There was confusion this time at the gate with passes for the beach $5 entry for six people was thirty dollars and only five passes were given. I saw the taxi driver give our thirty dollars which makes me... More
