Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited the venue for the first time to see a band. Super impressed with the venue. Great for a concert but also a fabulous building. What really made it a special visit was the staff. On the door, at the bar, in the hall, everyone was nice and it just makes a happy and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to all involved. Will definitely keep a lookout for future events.

I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed myself. When I watched a band recently. I lost my phone and nearly £100 was inside. The one security person found it and kept it safe. I was so surprised that the phone wasn’t taken or the money. Obviously very honest and caring staff and security. The band was great too 😊

Despite the website saying they were open, when we got there it was closed. Maybe they could post days when they are shut.

This was a short pass by for us. The house is beautiful. Red bricks make it stand out, nothing special but great pictures while you are passing by!

We had popped into the Redhouse on previous occasions but this time we went to hear Henri Obstfeld talk about his experiences as a Holocaust survivor. This took place in the theatre area and the view was excellent from all points.

The speaker was amazing. The staff we encountered during our visit were very helpful and we picked up information on future events that were very varied and not stereo-typical.

We certainly intend to be back.

Waiting for my Son, I had some time on my hands and wandered in this interesting building.
Nice coffee and cake in a cafe inside also a Gallery with some really interesting works on display.
Also had a chat with a resident photographer who has a studio there.

I will definitely return when there are some events on.

This is a great place to spend an hour or two to get a feel for Merthyr Tydval’s history and an introduction to the sights along the High Street. Outside, the beautiful red brick masonry and sculpture is stunning as is the mosaic floor tiles, and sweeping double stair case inside. This is home to an art school and one room is dedicated to a professional gallery that you can browse. Upstairs and down, you can find interpretive kiosks that will fill you in on the history of the building and the town. Be sure to check out the stand near the front door for free leaflets describing sights and activities in the town.

This building now called the Redhouse is a great historical buiding perfectly situated as an easy accessible place to visit with nearby parking facilities, & a great place of interest to visit. The staff are really helpful & welcoming, & make you feel at home straight away, & do their level best to answer any questions you may have about the venue & other nearby attractions if you are a tourist looking for places of interest to visit nearby. It is a building of great architecture , & is well worth a visit if only to admire that! Its a venue of interest to both adults & children
