Star Fish Tours & Taxi's private tours provide our guests with local knowledge of St. John. We visit historical sites and many of the National Park's overlooks to get beautiful views of the natural white sandy beaches that we have. We want our guests to be relaxed as well show them around our native land.

Evan’s was a spectacular tour guide!! Two thumbs up….totally.
His vast knowledge of the areas we visited today were very informative and insightful . His energy was exactly what I was hoping for, he seemed to enjoy guiding as much as we enjoyed touring. My entire family was pleased with this tour and the service we received was outstanding! I will definitely recommend Starfish tours to my friends and family back home in Georgia. Thank you for making today a great way for me to celebrate my 50th birthday in the Virgin Islands.

Tourists need to be aware that these busses are fun, and convenient, but they operate on island time. Going to your beach won’t be a problem. There’s lots of people all going to the beach, so the bus gets full quickly.
It’s going BACK to your starting point at the end of the afternoon, that is the problem. For me, I needed to get back to the ferry to St Thomas.
The drivers are not concerned if you urgently have somewhere to be, such as if your ferry is leaving in 1 hour and you NEED to get on it in order to not miss your cruise ship.
They will tell you that 1 hour isn’t enough time; blaming you for being in a hurry, even though it’s just a 20 minute drive and you HAVE prepared a plan ahead of time by being an hour early for a 20 min trip… but dude, you just made me sit here in an empty bus for 15 minutes and now the clock really is ticking. I wasn’t in a hurry before, but the longer you wait for more customers well yeah now I am starting to be in a hurry. I guess that makes me the AH.
Just be aware that they will only start the vehicle when they’re good and ready, and even if you offer to pay them more for a private ride, or pay them more to leave now, they still won’t hurry. They want a FULL bus of people before they depart.
I get it, a full bus is how you make money… But when there’s nobody else around at the beach wanting to share the ride back to the ferry, it becomes a desperate situation where the customer is relying on the driver to “get going” and the driver is sitting around chatting with their buddies and waiting for more (nonexistent) passers-by to jump on.
It’s also irritating to have people tell you to “relax” when you have a ferry to catch, a ferry which DOES depart on schedule. I was relaxed… until I needed a ride from these guys.

Thank you, Michelle, for sharing your honest review with the taxi service you received on St. John. It is unfortunate that you had to be inconvenienced despite your valid concern to make the ferry. This is unacceptable service. As a company, we value our visitors, both their time and ours. Star Fish Tours & Taxi Services caters to prearranged or private services as advertised on our website at www.stjohnislandtours.com. There is time when our visitors have mistaken all of the taxis operating at the public taxi stand or beaches as being affiliated with Star Fish Tours. The taxi stand located on Strand Street Christmas Cove Cruz Bay is public parking designated to all taxis whether they are independent drivers, a part of an organization or company to park and transfer guests to & from that location. All of our safaris have "Star Fish Tours" labeled on them. Your complaint is a familiar complaint regarding the service of some independent drivers. Regardless, we all take accountability for the lack of service whether independently or as a company as Ambassadors of St. John. I do encourage you to share your experience with the Taxicab Commission's office. The website is www.tcc.vi.gov - phone number is 340-693-4211 - and the physical address is 8201 Subbase Suite 1 St. Thomas, VI 00802. They have the power to help make the difference for our future travelers.

Evans knows his history and has the pulse if what is happening on his Island. He was accurate in his descriptions of the smaller islands and historical points.
I live on St. Thomas and have visited mainly Cruz Bay and as a child, Cinnamon Bay, so I knew a little. He knew everything! I brought family and friends who were visiting from the states. They were impressed by the tour and depth of knowledge he exhibited. They appreciated the ability to stop and take pictures that did not inhibit the traffic from flowing around us. He gave us options on which beach to stop at, the choice was spot on. The vechicle was clean and we appreciated the cold water and sodas

This was an excellent tour. First time on the island, and this was a great way to get our bearings, see most of the island and learn it’s history . It was just my husband and I on this tour. Evans was our tour guide. He knows so much about the island, it’s history and is a wonderful man. It was a great way to spend four hours and was definitely money well spent. We highly recommend it.

Our 4-hour tour did go to Coral Bay. We were the only 2 people in the vehicle with our guide, and she said she would take us anywhere we wanted to go, but Coral Bay was part of her usual itinerary.
