We did some snorkeling on this beach and it was pretty good. It's a small beach with no amenities at all. No chairs, bars or restaurants but is a sweet get away.

Just as many of the beaches on St. John - Hawksbest is beautiful and worth the trip. It is a thin beach but is right off the road and easily accessible for those who might not be able to walk to other beaches on the island. The views are stunning and it is worth a visit!

We love hawksnest- great facilities, beautiful beach. Some days the water is a little rougher than others, but overall a great beach and usually uncrowded.

We ate lunch at a cafe in town and asked the waiter where we should go for the afternoon. He suggested t his beach and it did not disappoint. Great snorkeling and relaxing time. Easy access and parking. Nice sand and very clear water.

This beach isn't for everyone. Personally I would go back to Cinnamon Beach before coming back to Hawksnest but I'm sure here are people who love it here. The snorkeling was fantastic! We saw some really cool stuff right off the beach here. Because of that though the water has a lot of rocks and coral so it's not the... More

Drove past enroute to Trunk Bay. Great views. The scenery is amazing and the national park is excellent.

This is a narrow beach, but it is beautiful & tucked away. Parking is limited.Best thing to do is go early for a few hours & enjoy. When it get's crowded & it will, move on to another beach.

Beautiful beach, the water is spectacular, more waves than Maho Bay..which is a bit more protected. Great picnic area, plenty of areas to get out of the sun. Parking is reasonable.

Hawksnest is a nice and cozy beach, but gets easily crowded. You can find shade if you like to, which is always nice. There are some picnic tables and toilet facilities too. You can swim / snorkel to the next beach too if you like to, and there is a local small Christian congregation meeting up there from time to... More

A little too much surf, narrow beach and crowded. Not our favorite. We got there early and it was already crowded. Left and went to Maho Bay.
