We brought chairs, coolers and snacks. Stayed for the day. A couple of us snorkeling around the small island in the cove. Pretty fish, some live coral we enjoyed the adventure of going around the backside of the island. The rest of the group loved bobbing in the water, visiting and having a painkiller. The restrooms are an added bonus.... More

We came here with a newborn and 2-year old. The waves were too big and strong from either of them to even get in the water. The surfers seemed to be having a good time though. For our young family it was a poor choice, but for adults or families with older kids it could be fun as other beaches... More

This beach has camping, cottage rentals, a restaurant and rentals of paddle boards, kayaks and snorkel gear, all tucked in the woods as you walk down from the parking lot to the beach. The sand is perfect and the waves are gentle. Good beginner snorkeling too. We went to far right side and snorkeled over to another little beach past... More

We took a taxi from the ferry dock to Cinnamon Bay to spend the day. We rented chairs and set up a cozy spot with shade and sun both. Walked back up the path to use the restrooms (they have showers and a foot rinse faucet, too) and order lunch in the lovely open-air pavilion. Had the best Lime in... More

It's always nice in St. John to have fresh water washoff and not have to open the trunk and empty the gallon jugs, isn't it? Cinnamon Bay Beach & Campground also had pleasant staff in the museum/water sports area. Parking was a breeze with a long, clean, sandy beach with clear water. We enjoyed no surge but had to swim... The beach is very nice with good snorkeling. Access to the beach is a short walk. The parking might be an issue if you arrive between 11 AM and 3 PM. The service at the sports shop located at the entrance to the beach area is kind of disappointing. We tried to rent equipment and book lessons several times. However... More

This is a beautiful long beach, but I wasn't impressed with the snorkeling which is something I love. This beach can be quite windy as well!

This was a perfect day at the beach. The water is crystal clear and got deeper very gradually. On the left and right sides of the beach there are some outcroppings with coral reef. There's also a nearby island you can swim to that has great snorkeling. The beach is at the national park campground, so it's clean, beautiful, and... More

nice picturesque beach but the waves were so high when we were there that there was no snorkeling or paddle boarding. larger beach and has an adjoining campground so lots of people watching. there is a small museum that has some interesting exhibits and had a wonderful talk on pirates. Ken Wild is the ranger that gave the talk and... More

Loved kayaking over to Maho for turtle hunting. Nice white sand beach. Wasn't ridiculously crowded though fairly busy. They have adult beverages available in the shop hobby the parking area
