Do Cinnamon Bay first. It is a lovely place to visit but if you go to trunk bay first, you'll be disappointed. Admission is free, but then, the amenities aren't really up to par. Plus, you have really ignorant people standing on the reef. I'm surprised there is any reef alive here. C'mon people, swim over the reef, stand in... More

All of the homies in the area said this is a great stop. I see why. Your outdoors, ya might run into a mosquito or two. Take some off. I was nature at its best...

Much of St. John, USVI is part of. the National Park System. Cinnamon Bay area is included and is getting a facelift with new facilities from the park service.. The beach is narrow and long and is almost always extremely quiet, There are campsites and cottages available for rent on site. The history lesson comes from major exhibits located on... More

I wish I'd seen some of these reviews earlier. Yes, the seas are rough and I ended up losing my expensive prescribed glasses after a wave knocked me. Several people on the beach also looking for lost property. What's worse, we ended up with so many mosquito bites. The beach is not wide, therefore you walk through the jungle to... More

Well everything is becoming new. As they are rebuilding all the buildings. Most is ready to enjoy. What a great peaceful beach. Everything. Food. Boats, water sports bathrooms and showers. Not easy to find in St John. Easy to catch a ride back to town and only 5 minutes away by car.

I was reading some reviews and don't know if we caught this beach on a bad day or what but it was jam packed! In my opinion that's not relaxing. Snorkeling was so murky couldn't see and the waves were large which didn't make swimming great. Better beaches on St. John within a couple minutes from here.

We camped here at the campground. The beach is great for surfing/windsurfing. But if you want to snorkel or swim, be aware that their may be strong swells/waves.

From personal recommendations and multiple sites, I'm sure Cinnamon Bay is a gorgeous beach to hang out on. However, my family caught it on a bad day. We visited an hour after a brief but heavy downpour and found ourselves in murky water, being sandblasted by the debris in every wave until you get out far enough, and even then... More

Best beach I've ever seen! Clear waters, calm waves, not many people... perfect!!! The concession/souvenir stand was basic so don't expect a meal or anything.
