This was the first place I snorkeled, really, so of course I am biased in its favor, but being greeted by two little reef squid was something truly special. Great for beginning snorkelers. Calm, clear, perfectly aqua water! Great for swimming. Some shade along the...More

My family of 5 went to Cinnamon Bay to check out the snorkeling. Wow! It was absolutely spectacular! There's a reef on the far right side of the bay that had beautiful parrot fish, blue tang, and many others, but the coolest thing was that...More

Visited this beach on a Sunday around 11:00am. Parking here is a difficult, as with all the beaches on St John, but this lot had more opportunities for squeezing your car into nooks and crannies. Easy access off Route 20, maybe 20 minutes from Cruz...More

Our group had an incredible snorkel by going to the right side of the island and letting the current bring us back to the left. Although it got a little too shallow on spots it opens up to the left. We used fins to make...More

This place is just gorgeous! I was lucky enough to stop at a different beach each day, and while this wasn't my #1 favorite, it was a close second!

Excellent to relax and enjoy. The water is crystal clear and just beautiful, we did snorkel but, saw no fish life like Trunk Bay or Mayo Beach. Drinks are expensive, so if you can take a color and chairs it would be great. It's pretty...More

Soft white sand, warm turquoise water, and totally undeveloped! You can, however, camp here in tents or cabins. There is also a restaurant, camp store, and water sports rental shop. FREE parking with access to this amazing beach. Highly recommended!

Carmen by the Sea let me charge my phone during the island's power outage that day! That was huge for me and my mom as we wanted pics on this beautiful page.

Beautiful warm crystal clear water, sandy beach with a shallow reef not far off shore for easy snorkeling and colorful reef fish. This beach has a snack stand and restrooms, and an adjacent campground.

Cinnamon Bay was nice. A great place to read a book on the beach, and lounge around with a cooler filled with cold drinks. The water is spectacular, as well as the foliage and scenery that surrounded us.

We were vacationing there last spring and summer. We met some friends and it is a real struggle for them because they survive and count on the tourism. We love that place and hope to be back soon!,

I have not been to any STJ beach at any time of day that resembles anything like this. most are deserted in the evening. Ive gone to the beach after dinner and have practically had the place to myself.
