If you like to walk beaches where yours are the only footprints then make the journey to Mayaguana. It is now serviced by Bahamasair from Nassau twice a week. But if you want to really up the adventure quotient you can do what I did...More

Wow, there are amazing corals in the 2-3-4 foot deep range, 30 feet off the beach so even a 5 year old escorted by an adult can see coral structures which usually only exists in much deeper water ! I stayed for last week and...More

Good for "alone time". Or at least at the side of the island where we were anchored at. Nice diving scenario as well.
