We walked a short distance to this peaceful beach from our apartment. There was one small group there with us. No one else except for a rasta fisherman further away down the beach. Security patrol this area and there were very few vendors around to...More
At Saunders Beach you can swim with the fish. The water is crystal clear so that you can always see the sand. You don't have to worry about sharks or such. Also, there are always beach vendors willing to provide/sell snacks, etc.

We enjoyed Saunders Beach. I found it though other reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn’t disappoint. There were 11 of us total and the previous reviews said it was a quiet beach where they were the only ones on the beach. This was 100%...More

I felt safe there. It was just a few minutes outside of town. The main road is right by as well as a gas station/convenience store. There was no one selling items on the beach or soliciting. It was quiet mid morning until the afternoon when more families found it.
