Nice beach to stop by and enjoy some beach time. There is a restroom here and a playground. There was also security there.

We walked a short distance to this peaceful beach from our apartment. There was one small group there with us. No one else except for a rasta fisherman further away down the beach. Security patrol this area and there were very few vendors around to...More

At Saunders Beach you can swim with the fish. The water is crystal clear so that you can always see the sand. You don't have to worry about sharks or such. Also, there are always beach vendors willing to provide/sell snacks, etc.

After reading previous reviews, we decided to try this beach. It was awesome! There was some dried seaweed in places on the beach, but not bad at all for us, and no trash. Perfect beach for peace, quiet, and relaxation. Bathrooms were clean and two...More

Not bad, but I prefer Montagu Beach east of Downtown. Saunders Beach had siltier sand, almost like dust, and there was occasional garbage around, like a few old truck tires. Montagu Beach had better sand, and was clean; in fact, I saw a worker cleaning...More

If you're on a cruise, walk down to where buses are (ask someone - they will point you in the right direction), and look for a bus with a #10 on it. Ask for Saunders Beach. We paid $1.25 per person. They drop you off...More

We enjoyed Saunders Beach. I found it though other reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn’t disappoint. There were 11 of us total and the previous reviews said it was a quiet beach where they were the only ones on the beach. This was 100%...More

I felt safe there. It was just a few minutes outside of town. The main road is right by as well as a gas station/convenience store. There was no one selling items on the beach or soliciting. It was quiet mid morning until... More
