The view walking up and down this street is nice. Many stores and places to shop/drink/eat/etc... However, the people that live there trying to sell you tours/taxis/etc is very diminishing to this "attraction." Hopefully this issue can be addressed somehow.

I don't know about spending part of your vacation here. It is super touristy and a lot of the shops are the same. It is clean, and there are nice places to stop, sit, people watch. It was a fun time, but I would have rather done something more Bahamas and a not tourist trap.

Bay Street caters to cruise passengers. It consists of watch, jewelry, to shirt and various trinket stores. It closes down between 5:00 and 6:00. What few restaurants there are close at the same time. At night it is dark and deserted and uncomfortable. The traffic is heavy and the sidewalks crowded when all the cruise ships are in port. There... More

This one street is where most of the people stayed while we got off the ship. Has a lot of things to do for food and shopping.

Little, charming town, next the water. Colorful houses, nice streets, and of course, sunlight. You can buy shells, coralls, what you want. ( it may not be imported to europe)

Lots of very high end merchandise if that's what you are here for. Lots of jewels and watches . Some small shirt places too. Aimed at cruise people.

Great shopping and walking around in Downtown Nassau. Streets with a lot of stores, and restaurants for tourists. Great to walk and explore. Shop during the day and finish by 5PM shops close early when cruise ships get ready to depart. Senor Frog's still open late to eat dinner thoug. Police have nice while suits and hat.

Downtown Bahamas is very peculiar. Narrowed streets with a lot of stores, restaurants and tourists. Just to walk by and explore, you must go.
