Visited Dolphin Encounters 12 years again and returned for a second time last week. While Blue Lagoon Island has new added activities, much remains the same. Our primary purpose in visiting was to do the dolphin swim with our children, ages 9 & 7. We debated going with Dolphin Encounters to swim with dolphins versus a similar experience at our... More

The dolphin encounter was wonderful but having done it and thought about it I feel terribly sorry that these wonderful animals have lost their freedom just so that we can get a close up encounter. The company are over anxious to photograph every aspect of your encounter and then charge you extotionate prices for low resolution images that they email... More

I absolutely loved this day! Short boat ride to the Blue Lagoon from the marina on Paradise Island. We enjoyed the day at the beach as well. It wasn't crowed and we basically had pick of hammocks and chairs. We took the 10:30am ferry and the dolphin swim was the first thing we did. It was extremely windy (25mph) which... More

You line up on a platform with about 10 other people and take turns petting the dolphins, dancing with them, getting a kiss, and getting a hug, all while the hired photographers take pictures of you. It is a very cool experience to interact with them and watch them do many different tricks. It is a rather short experience, though.... More

What a beautiful place, with incredibly nice people. I had a blast with a sea lion encounter while my daughter swam with the dolphins. When I went to pick her up, staff invited her...and me, despite not having paid for a dolphin swim, to attend a training session for a new dolphin swim to be offered. We got this special... More

The Good: My wife and I enjoyed a terrific experience with the Sea Lion Encounter. We were part of a small group and it was a great experience. The staff was all very kind and did a good job explaining everything to us. ***THE BAD***: The photos. Nobody tells you that the overpriced pictures that you are purchasing are going... More

Did the "dolphin encounter"at Blue Lagoon. It was great!! Booked thru Royal Caribbean, boarded the boat at the end of the pier. About a 45 minute sightseeing ride to beautiful Blue Lagoon. Not sure what to expect but was more than amazed at the interaction with the dolphin from giving him a hug, feeding and rubbing him to getting a... More

My husband and I went to visit the sea lions while on our honeymoon. We scheduled a Blue lagoon dolphin encounters trip through our hotel and majestic tours. My husband and I have a great time but it was very expensive for what it was. We expected to interact with the sea lions much more than we did. They basically... More

This was a definite bucket list item for my wife once we decide to spend a week in the Bahamas. She was going to do the Dolphin Encounter because it was $50 cheaper per person. I insisted she should spend the extra and do the swim, and I got a big thank you for that when we were done. The... More

Overview of the encounter we were to expect wasn't great. Speaker was very difficult to understand and he had no microphone. No life jackets were provided -- didn't even see one lying around. We've done dolphin encounters before at other locations and were always given a life jacket. Groups had to stand on a floating platform which was difficult for... More
