Gorgeous! Yes. This is worth the drive. We have been to numerous beaches all over the world ... this was one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. It is so secluded. You really must go at low tide and enjoy the vast view...More

This beach is a MUST see. I was so thankful that I read the reviews on Trip Advisor suggesting to go at low tide. We arrived at low tide and were completely wowed at the beach and water. We stayed for a couple hours and...More

After reading many reviews, I'm realizing the success of the visit to this beach definitely depends on the tide and how many other people are dumped out there by a tour. We must have gotten lucky. Hardly a soul as we took a private taxi,...More

After a disappointing "cave walk" and very hot walk through mangroves the sound of waves appears and you step onto one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen! Skip the "caves" and head straight to the beach. $5 per adult and kids under 12...More

Definitely go at low tide which is typically around 9 am this time of year. Check the tide charts. At low tide you can walk forever before you get to the water and there are clams and crabs in the little pools. Probably the most...More

We stopped here on our way to East End. This beach is so beautiful and had no one but us on it. You have to walk through the nature park to get there, so watch out for biting flies!! It's worth the walk though.

This Beach was the best in the Bahamas, it was different at sunrise and sunset... the tide would bring even starfish up... and it all was natural. was not too crowed... very clean both times I have been here.

Gold Rock Beach, located in Lucayan National Park, was one of the highlights of our visit to Grand Bahama! You follow a short nature trail across the tidal, mangrove wetlands to reach the beach. The wetlands are beautiful in their own way, and are protected...More

We rented a car for the day for 92 dollars and was able to explore on our own without being tied to a tour guide. If you can brave driving on the left side of the road and round abouts then you're golden.

I was just in Freeport a few weeks ago and there are car rentals at the port. However, there are a lot of local taxi/van drivers that provide sightseeing tours and that will pick you up at the cruise port and deliver you... More
