Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a nice beach area but busy with tourists and the pigs are pooping on the edge of the beach. You don’t really hang out on the beach. You stop look at pigs then leave. If you have never seen a pig it’s a cool experience.

We stopped at the island as crew members of a private catamaran and got there at the end of January around 4 pm. No other tourists at the time were there. We walked on the beach and took photos of the pigs but did not feed them (nor are you supposed to according to the sign on the beach). It does seem like feeding them from a boat while they are in the water is okay (things like carrots and apples). The pigs came to the water when they heard our dingy, but when we clearly were not feeding them they mostly ignored us and quite a few were just sleeping. Most of them were huge which was a little intimidating. There was quite a bit of poo on the beach which must be get cleaned up regularly otherwise the beach would be covered. We visited quite a few beaches during our sail and pretty sure that Pig Island is where we got a lot of sand fly bites.

This was so fun. The pigs swim out to you to get the carrots we bring. Swirling around us in the water were manta rays, which we also fed. Spending time on the island was enjoyable too because there were alot of baby pigs to hold. The staff from Exuma Sports love their job checking on these pigs and bringing people to meet and feed them.

You have to do this. Borders on kinda weird to very cool. I loved it. All the girls picked up the baby’s [which is allowed] and we all dodged the big guys in the water , which are like floating battleships. It’s a great stop and you have to admire the boat your staff for tending to them. You’ll have fun

Yes, the pigs smell to the high heavens, yes, one of them bit my teenage daughter on her booty, and yes, the piglets are absolutely adorable and you will want to take them home. If you can't handle any of this, just anchor out and watch from afar but I enjoyed paddling in for a closer look. The whole experience was an adventure, the pigs are cared for by locals who clean up and provide them with food and water. I loved it and spent a very long time petting the sweet little babies as they slept in the shade.

Cambridge cay pigs are a treat. They are not little hairless pink piggies. They are pretty big. Brown. With big nostrils so they can swim and breathe. They will swim out to your boat to get some food. They like bigger pieces like bread. The seagulls try to come in and grab some as well. I don’t recommend swimming. But that is just me. Fun to feed. And take pictures. Enjoy the day.

We went on a private tour on a Monday in March and it was perfect. No one else was visiting so we had the pigs all to ourselves. We brought grapes and potatoes and the pigs seemed please! They were a lot bigger than I imagined!

Just meh. This is an Instagram vs. Reality king of thing….. pigs nip at you - rightfully so as they are expecting to be fed when they see humans. They are fairly aggressive. Also… pig poo all around. If you want to swim with the pigs, be prepared to swim in pig poo and be bitten.
They are cute and there are lots of sizes of pigs on the beach, but do what you will with this information 😅

I enjoyed feeding the pigs. I was not aware that there were other locations where you can feed the pigs so the beach here is not what I was expecting since most of the pictures you see are of another bigger beach. I had not thought about it ahead of time but you do need to dodge some pig poo in the water. We also fed the sting rays -and that was really awesome.

Had so much fun swimming and feeding the pigs. Also cuddling up to the wee piglets omg I wanted to take one home.. they were absolutely adorable with there baby squealing. I really wanted to just rescue one but my hubby had to talk some sense in me, they will grow up to be a giant hog. Although the hogs are cute but my townhouse is not fit for a large hog. Would recommend this excursion for all.
