Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The shop and cafe look lovely , we didn’t eat there so can’t comment on that but the staff there were very friendly,The outside of the building requires basic TLC , weeds and general mess and painting of fences and tables needed all a bit off putting .
Wheel not a great sight and it seems needs renovation and again area a mess .
But the main disappointment was the lack of involvement with the guy actually weaving, would have been nice with some kind of explanation around the whole process .

Interesting visit. Difficult to find but worth the circuitous route as lovely shop, excellent cake and informative views into the weaving shed

Very disappointed that, despite info everywhere saying open on Sundays until 5.30pm it was firmly locked and padlocked when we arrived at 4.30pm.
Everything looked run down and unloved from what we could see so won't bother to try again.

An excellent working mill that uses vintage looms to produce lovely fabric. Contrary to the guide book we had there is NOT a working water wheel and hasn’t been for some time. Based on what we saw it looks unlikely it will ever work again now.
Best to phone in advance too if you want to see weaving. We went on a working day but no weaving taking place.

A great place to relax following a lovely, quiet walk along the lane from Solva village. Great coffee, delicious Welsh cakes in the cafe and gorgeous Welsh woollens in the shop. Definitely worth a visit.

Love this place, interesting to see weaving taking place, good shop selling woven products and other items, lovely little cafe with small selection of cakes and drinks but nonetheless tasty and seating outside in the warm weather is lovely, sit and listen to the River Solva burbling nearby and the birds tweeting - what’s not to like, also it’s local to me!

Disappointing. Very small area to
Watch the worker in the mill. Felt awkward as though we were prying.
Cafe has little choice of cakes and rather unwelcoming vibes all round.

Loved seeing the workings in the weaving shed. Noisy but you are warned. Nice to catch up with the restoration of the water wheel. Shop has a great selection of items. The tea room is a perfect ending to your day.

Stopped by while passing through Solva and enjoyed a casual walk around the working area, as well as the shop area. The cafe was nice too with a tasty selection of drink, and outdoor seating area was absolutely lovely.

We had enjoyed a wonderful few days is St Davids, and I had made several visits to the shop they have opened there. Couldn't resist a trip to see the mill itself.
Beautiful building, and a stunning shop! Filled with so many gorgeous things - I treated myself to a stunning jade/turquoise/brown blanket. I now have a permanent reminder of the mill, and will certainly visit this little slice of heaven when we are next down that way.
