Lovely trip to fairbourne and back to the ferry terminal. Scenery is beautiful. I gift aided my ticket and it is now valid for 12 months so we can ride again for free!

Really nice little railway with lovely views. We struggled to get space on the train with every carriage full so were quite cramped.

Driving into Fairbourne, its hard to miss the Fairbourne railway and steam trains. Small narrow gauge track and rolling stock. Always makes me smile seeing the steam rising and train chugging by.

Everything everyone says about the lovely trains, the exceptional location, outstanding views and the friendly and kindly staff is right, the only thing not quite right sadly is the Harbour View Cafe. It’s a charming little building but we felt let down by the very...More

Short trip but nice if you include it as part of a tour of Barmouth to fairbourne and back to Barmouth. Friends staff and tea room and beach at each end.

Lovely little ride. Especially for the young ones. We got the train to the point to go to the beach at the very end initially. However there was a taxi boat doing ferrying over to barmouth so we got on that had a few hours...More

I understand from other Trip Advisor reviews that the train is dog friendly but the cafe is not, for health and safety reasons. There are two cafes at each end of the line, both have outdoor seating.
