Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Up from the village the hike itself isn't too difficult, though in May there were still quite some snow patches to plow through.
Once you reach the end of the valley the path seemingly ends, though it's possible these just weren't visible to us.
It's not all that long and due to the shape of the valley you can run into other hikers all the time, which gives it a different feeling from Trusso, where you'd feel "alone in the world".
Worth the day trip!

No influencers, no BS. Worth a visit for a couple of nights, there are a few mountain huts with exceptional views. I would choose this over the crowded Gudauri.
Juta is never mentioned in any blog or travel instagram, its truly a hidden gem.
We stayed at Pirdapira and it was absolutely perfect! There are other options such as fifth season.
It exceeded my expectations. The hike, the stay, the food, everything was astonishing, one of a kind experience! 1000/10 would recommend!

For me, the juta valley is the hike to the chaukhi pass at 3338 meters. A lovely, challenging hike of about 4 hours up and 2 down, surrounded by flowering meadows, rushing rivers, grazing cows and horses and always the imposing sight of the jagged massif. From the top of the pass, a misty, wild place, you can also see 3 lakes on the other (roshka) side.
I reccomend to do it while staying in juta and not on a rushed daytrip from kazbegi.
The trail is marked.

Amazing valley with beautiful surrounding mountains, roaring rivers and alpine meadows. We hiked from Juta to Roshka village via Chaukhi pass. Stunning hiking trail. You can overnight in tents or in hostels/hotel located near the village

If you visit Georgia, you should not miss this magnificent place. From village Juta there is about 5k hike to reach mount Chaukhebi and the view is worth every step. There are 2 camping spots on the way where you can chill and taste really good local cuisine. Stay alert on your way up to spot a waterfall on your left, very near to the lake. It's not easily spotted as it's hidden in a way but if you ask locals they will give some directions. Make sure you dip into waterfall as well, it's ice cold but sooo refreshing❤️ Best time to hike Jul-Sept.

It takes some time to drive to Juta and the road is quite bumpy, better take a 4x4. But it is well worth it. There are many phantastic walks waiting, there are even 2 camps that serve food and drinks - and there are indicators to tell you where to go.

A car is strongly recommended for driving up and down this valley. The distance from the main road to Juta is 15km (each way). You can also walk or bike it - most of the way is on a decent flat gravel road, but the last 3-4 km are on a steep, narrow mountain road that will be hard to bike on.
The entire road is beautiful - from the valley floor you can see the mountains around you, lots of wild flowers, and if the sky is clear - mount Kazgebi on the other side of the valley. When the road starts ascending to Juta - the view changes to a narrow creek with waterfalls.
From Juta you can take a short (but steep) 20-30 minute climb to the Juta Camping site, from which there are far better views at the mountains (and endless wild flowers in the summer). From the camp, you may continue farther into the mountains.

Went there in a snow hike this month. Great place, located 2230 m in altitude and in between Kazbegi natural park as a fresh and pure air to breathe. The landscape is overwhelming. If you like fresh air and nature on the best, and also like to walk that's a great place. In the village there's a sauna and some accommodation.

I know coming to Georgia is worth it. We rent a car on this trip to see the natures in the country.
The most exciting on this trip is during our drive to Kabezgi.
Driving along the Military Highway is very impressive I can't get enough to see the amazing landscape. Green, greenish everywhere

Car service from Tbilisi to Juta Valley (airbnb house) in late April/early May?? Can anyone recommend a car service and/or driver from Tbilisi to Juta Valley please? Some locals have stated it's impossible with the season.

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Georgia in June 2019 with family (wife and 2 kids, both below 12 years).
I would like to know about staying in Juta or any other countryside.
How far is the countryside from the international airport ?
Best way to go there ? (preferably by rented car)
Where would I be able to rent a car from ?
Which would be good locations to stay ?
Any recommended Cottages in the countryside where we could stay ?
What are the options for food ? Easily available in these places ?
Thank you.
