Best pub in Whaley, always welcoming, no loud music. Well kept and good choice of beers. Dog friendly, gravy bones from the landlord. What is not to like. Make sure you visit.

Nice friendly, traditional pub. Popular with locals and visitors to the area. Went in after an evening climbing, there were a bunch mountain bikers, some people who had been walking and some people who just came in for a drink.

Lovely traditional local where people are able to and indeed do talk to each other. There are no TV's blaring out all day or loud music. Everyone is very friendly

Roger and Jay are friendly and chatty bartenders- there’s an excellent garden area and space out front as well. No food, but a great pint.

Traditional pub with excellent Ales. Tony’s a gem (landlord) don’t ask for food as his answer may offend. Usually a good pub atmosphere with no piped music.
