Situated next to Butterley Reservoir find this a lovely relaxing area and the train are a bonus following their history and riding on one of the trains Children find it more than interesting and it is one of my grand children favourite places to visit

Great place and fantastic staff. Always a pleasure coming here. Used to come and volunteer here when I was a child seeing Eric’s 08 class diesel brings back lots of memories.

I did see an engine in the siding with a Gordon face but it was on the tracks. I presume they will do Thomas weekends would be worth a phone call first hope to that helps 😊

You can now get a family ticket through 'Woucher' for Β£18. I have used this ticket and it is good value.

Trains depart from the Butterley Station which is on the B6179 just outside Ripley. The site has free parking. The train travels through a long scenic cutting before arriving at the Swanwick Junction site. At this site... More
