    Very interesting.
A very good site. It would be better named the 'Museum of the Todt Battery' as that is the focus. It's very interesting to be able to a take a look around the bunker, and it's good that the founder of the museum (who passed away in 2013) did this great work for future generations.

    Very Interesting site
Known as Batterie Todt this is the site of a massive concrete complex built to house four Krup 380mm guns to be used to shell Dover and ships in the channel. It is named after Fritz Todt who was the designer of the complex, which was later incorporated into The Atlantic Wall. It is now an extensive museum, one of the guns is sighted beside the complex and gives you a sense of the sheer size of the weapons. You can enter the concrete bunker complex which houses an interesting museum. Well worth a visit.

Fascinating relic of WW2 with lots of interesting displays and equipment. Must see site if interested in WW2 history
Wonderfully maintained monument to WW2 activity. We were surprised how much there was to see inside with a full tour of the rooms and spaces inside the batterie. Plenty of German memorabilia and balanced commentary and settings. Gives a great perspective on scale of operations across the Atlantic Wall and scale of guns that could fire across the channel into heart of England. Railway gun also fascinating . well worth a visit

    Visit This Museum
I visited this museum with my family including my 5yr old granddaughter and 9yr old grandson. They enjoyed looking at the exibits inside and out. They enjoyed the displays which made an enjoyable visit. I first visited this museum about twenty years ago when there was just a dirt track to park along, now there is a great car park and a shop for gifts although steer clear of the overpriced genuine items. I would recommend this museum for a nice alternative visit whilst in the area and learn a bit about history of WW2

Visit to this museum to explain to our 5-year-old son part of the history of France (overlooking certain details of course).
He had the opportunity to see the bunkers as well as the cannons and missiles used at the time. Very interesting for him and for us as well.

Museum rich in reconstructions of life in this battery: uniforms, weapons.
Interesting visit that would benefit from further explaining who built this mass of fortifications: prisoners, deportees, volunteers. And which construction companies have thus “collaborated”.

Passionate, collector and renactor, for a long time I wanted to visit it.
Things done
On my stay at the Opal Coast, I learned a lot about the different sectors and about this museum with its battery and cannon
Impressive.
Clear and precise descriptions and explanations. Simple to understand for a beginner with lots of pictures of periods, pictures and diagrams
friendly staff
Luckily, there was a prize on a pack that included the book about the battery and the surroundings occupied by the Germans.
Unfortunately I could not make the other casemates due to lack of time because end of stay
I'd sell!

The blockhouse is well preserved both outside and inside. We find a beautiful collection of objects and uniforms inside as well as some vehicles such as a German motorcycle.
On the outside, the K5 gun is impressive.
The children learned lots of things with this very interesting visit.

This is a very interesting place to visit, it is where one of the guns that shot at Kent is based. The signs are very informative and concise. It takes about an hour to get round just because that is how long it takes. I found it very informative because many of the signs (all translated) were giving a German point of view, not something that you see very often as history is written by the winner. Not suitable for disabled people or people who have trouble with mobility as there are many steps and an unavoidable steep ramp.

A trip to Batterie Todt at Audinghen Northern France which was part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall was arranged but on arrival the museum opened later than those advertised. Our group decided to kill time and have a drive down the road towards Audresselles. About a kilometre away we spotted another gun emplacement which was part of the original line up of coastal defences. There is a little lay by where you can park the car. It is a short walk to the abandoned German position but it is advisable to wear sturdy shoes as the going is a bit rough in places. You can walk around it both inside and outside. It is huge and you a real feel of what it must have been like to be stationed there during the war. There are still the original drawings on the wall depicting Winston Churchill being overrun by the German war machine albeit a bit faded and covered in graffiti. From there you can either walk the short distance or drive down a track back towards the museum. In amongst the woodland are the remains of another one of the gun batteries which looks like it received a direct hit from allied bombs. The sheer scale of it is brought home all the more when you can see a lump of concrete the size of a bungalow just laying there with reinforced bars sticking out. The roof has collapsed and twisted metal and debris litter the entire site. Care must be taken if you go exploring the ruins. By the time we had visited both sites the museum had opened. The museum has a collection of artefacts from WW2 but it was only having crawled all over the previous abandoned ruins that you get a sense of how enormous they are. The opening has been sealed off from the elements and where the original gun rails were is now covered by the museum displays. The batterie guns could fire a shell over 24 miles. There is a railway gun outside that you can climb up and again get a sense of the German war machine in action. There are other exhibits to look at. Well worth a visit but if you can try and visit the other two batteries to get the full impact and size of them.
