Called in for lunch. Very nice and good atmosphere. Bought cheese from the deli which has lots of lovely local produce. Archerfield has everything off to a fine art from the walled garden to the golf and accommodation. Well worth a visit or a stay in the 1st class rooms wether it be in the house, lodges, marine villa and... More

Visited on a Sunday. The place was very busy. We were greeted promptly and given a table after it was emptied and cleaned in front of us. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out in good time and was fresh. We got a child's cheese sandwich which came with sliced cucumber and carrot on the side, a... More

My daughter and I have just eaten a very tasty bowl of Mushroom and Tarragon Soup in the restaurant. The soup was served with a cheese scone which again was very tasty but slightly on the dry side. Although the restaurant was busy we were seated quickly and served by very pleasant/courteous staff. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and... More

I met a friend for lunch. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere and a good place to have coffee and a bite to eat. Service is good and you do not feel rushed or the need to leave as someone is after your seat. Coffee is above average and food is adequate although a bit pricey. Easy parking makes it... More

Stopped off after an enjoyable walk for a coffee, to say we were treated poorly is an understatement. One other couple in the queue, plenty of staff and at least 6 free tables, still had to wait at least 10mins for to be seated despite staff chatting to each other looking across and generally not doing much in the way... A nice cafe with good coffee and hot chocolate. Worth a visit on the way home from the beach. Some of the cakes are vegan though so read the descriptions carefully. We do not recommend the Chocolate vegan cheesecake!

Having visited since the first weekend it opened we never knew that dogs were welcome, until recently. We were given a very warm welcome into the bar area with our two black Labradors, who quickly settled down in front of the log fire. The staff were pleasant and efficient and the food very good. A lovely setting to enjoy lunch... More

We live in East Lothian and this is a favourite sunny afternoon visit. The fairy garden is fun for our 3 year old who likes the special "little people" gate and it is safe enough for her to run ahead of us and spot the fairies. It is in a wooded area which is not particularly pushchair friendly so we... More

A miserable day and we were in need of a coffee to heat us up. On sight of the menu however we were tempted into having a light lunch AND coffee and cake. All delicious. Lovely selection. Interesting themed evenings. Good service. All in all -worth making the journey.

I have visited here on a few occasions, sometimes popping in for lunch and most recently a cake and coffee after a walk along the beach at Longniddry (a short car journey away approx 10 mins). Four of us were seated in the comfy lounge area to enjoy an array of cakes and coffees, all were delicious and very filling.... More
