Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasant walk through the woods with nicely constructed walkways throughout.
Great spot to be in nature and enjoy the outdoors, especially the bird watching hut which has a fantastic view

Lovely visit with a 7, 4 and 18 month old plus grandparents who managed the walk easily. Great accessibility around the forest and in the treehouses. Hours of fun playing in the treehouses and mud kitchen.

Visited for the first time in years and was amazed at the work that had been carried out in that time. Lots of parking available and we enjoyed a walk around with the dog.

Had a lovely time here with the grandchildren- 9 and 6. They particularly loved the tree house - great for a picnic - and the board walks around the bird hide. The compost toilet would benefit from a bit more maintenance!

Overall - a great “freedom” day out for young children.

Would recommend it.

A lovely community run forest with a variety of paths, some suitable for wheelchair and less able visitors. Boardwalk to a bird hide overlooking small loch. Longer paths, some up to a hill viewpoint. Children s play area with rugged climbing equipment and tree houses. Classroom which runs nature courses.

This is a great place pitch up and set off on one of the marked walks through the woods or up the mountains. Good signage too.

We walked through Abriachan Forest while following the Great Glen Way and saw some deer jumping over the fences.
There is a large car park, compost toilets and children's play area and picnic sites near the car park.
Various trails lead into the forest and it is very popular with local dog walkers.
The forest is maintained by a charity which had to raise the money to buy the land.

A lovely place to take the kiddies for a wander. It’s usally quiet which gives you a sense of having the entire forest to yourself.

There are many routes through the forest, down to a small loch. And longer trips up to the highest point on narrow paths not suitable for pushchairs( others are) it's guide a hike but the views from the top. About 4 wind farms over a distance so not too intrusive although unpleasant . The track down joins the Great Glen Way so can't be missed
