About
North Kessock Community Pier is the only public facility suitable for small to medium boat launching in the inner Moray Firth. We recently upgraded the structure by adding a Small Boat Jetty, to greatly enhance safe access for all users, especially those with reduced mobility. This also provides an excellent viewpoint for dolphin watching and taking photographs of the firth, especially spectacular sunsets!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Love this bit of coast line, hotel, small supermarket, B&B The White cottage and coastal garden, Kessock bridge close by. There used to be a small ferry crossing to South Kessock. Great place to sit and watch the world go by. Chance of otter and dolphins. Best place is sitting on one of the small benches in the coastal garden.

At first I didn't think mich of this pier but there is something special about this one. The views are spectacular and its apparently good for dolphin spotting. Its the only open public facility to launch boats in the moray firth.

A lovely pier which usually has something going on there every time you visit, although we went during the quiet season you can still get some amazing views there. worth looking at after visiting the White Cottage Tearoom!

A handy pier for easy alternative access to the north shore of the Beauly Firth. It's free to use, and so is the large car park immediately adjacent. The pier is directly opposite the North Kessock Hotel, a wonderful haven for food & drink. The recently converted Old Ticket Office now serves as a small museum.
The pier itself is big enough for medium-sized pleasure boats, but has a raised slipway for smaller vessels such as ribs and kajaks etc. Popular too for dolphin spotting.
Well worth the short detour while on the Firth, or drop by if passing on the A9 immediately over the Kessock Bridge. I hope to include it in 2020 as part of my own sea kayaking activities around the area.

The community pier has a coastal garden which looks magnificent and overlooks the bay. A picknick table, comfortable chairs and wooden benches. loads of plants give it a special feel and love the nautical theme with the boat, netting etc. Toiletspiegel available as well. Great place for otter spotting.

Thanks for the review - it should actually have been for NKTOP who constructed the Garden. We (NKCP) exist to maintain the pier as a free, safe facility for launching and retrieving boats. It's also ideal for enjoying and photographing the view!

I've been visiting North Kessock for over 30 years and what a surprise when we arrived today. The Community Garden is lovely with seating for locals and visitors looking out over the water. The Ticket Office is bright and welcoming with photos and info on the history of the place. The addition of public toilets - this has been a long time coming and definitely a bonus. Well done to those who worked hard on this project.

Thanks for your comments. We will pass them on to the folks at NKTOP whose project it is! We at NKCP look after the pier itself, ensuring it is safe and available for boat launching etc and for taking in the views!
