Rhone Wine Tours offers private tours throughout the Rhone Valley, from Lyon to Avignon, from Cote-Rotie to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and all the vineyards in between. All the estates are family-owned and you really get the chance to meet the winemakers. Our door-to-door service means there's no need to drive and an English-speaking guide takes care of the translation. Fun but informative wine tastings are also available - we bring the Rhone straight to your holiday home!

We had a great experience on the Rhone Valley wine tour. Paul our guide was very knowledgeable about wines from the region as well as wine overall. The tour was visiting three wineries with a lunch break between the 1st and second winery visit. Each visit was unique - we started with a small producer in Rasteau where we got... More

This was a great tour. My husband knows a lot about Rhone wines so he was able to correspond with Paul before we left the States to let him know the wines he likes. Paul picked us up at our hotel and took us on an all day tour of 3 wineries and lunch in Gigondas. So beautiful. I will... More

This was the third wine tour we took in France and to say it was the best of the three would be a gross understatement. Paul's knowledge of the Rhone region, close working relationship with its winemakers, and overall knowledge of wine made the experience unlike any other we've had. Hands down, the best wine tours we've been on. If... More

That's very kind of you to say so guys. Great wine is obviously the starting point but meeting the people who make it and seeing where and how they work makes me appreciate the wine all the more. I'd be delighted to show you around again. Best wishes, Paul More

This is our third year of doing wine tours, and two of our group of 8 are (small) winemakers themselves, so we are not beginners. We have had great guides every year, but honestly Paul is another order again. He really knows and loves wines (he was a London-based wine importer before moving to France). Paul works with about 30... More

Kate, I'm delighted that you enjoyed the tour and I hope the rest of the group feels the same way. Maybe Matt and Bill picked up some winemaking tips on the way and future vintages will have a Rhone influence? Best wishes, Paul More

Paul, the guide, is just great! Picked us up from our hotel and took us around 3 wineries and all the way told us all kinds of wine facts. He knows so much about the wines in Rhone and is able to answer all of your questions. He was even able to smell immediately that one of the bottles we... More

Paul came to our villa to do a wine tasting for a group of 11 and we all loved it! After giving Paul an idea about our taste in wine he selected wines for us that were from small vineyards throughout Provence. As we went through the wines Paul gave information about each wine and wine maker. He made it... More

Thank you for inviting me over. It wasn't a bad selection of wines, was it? When it comes to favourites, it seemed it was a split vote between the St. Joseph and the Chateauneuf-du-Pape rouge but thinking back I'd say my vote goes to the white CdP. I would drink that every day of the week (if I could afford... More

When we initially told our friends and family that, for our honeymoon, we’d be exploring Rhone wine country as part of a five-day, group tour, the common refrain seemed to be, “Shouldn’t you be spending your honeymoon with just each other?” However, my husband and I could not have asked for a better adventure than the one we shared with... Hi guys, Well I'm glad that you ignored your friends and decided to join the group. It was a pleasure to share the front row of the bus with the two of you as you seem to have a endless supply of tales of your own! I love showing people around the different regions and the estates whose wines I... More

I booked this tour almost 9 months ago as it is very popular. Now I know why! For years I have been enjoying wines from this region. I never knew why, I just did. I booked this tour for a "high level" view of the region to figure out why I really enjoy the wines. Paul was everything you would... More

Hi Jim, It's not me it's the wine! Seriously, I'm delighted that you enjoyed the wine holiday and that it lived up to (even exceeded - I'm blushing now!) your expectations. But you had a big part to play in that, entering into the spirit wholeheartedly. It was a pleasure to show you the region. Best wishes, Paul More

We experienced both a wine tasting at our rental accommodations in St. Remy and a tour of the Big Reds of the South. I highly recommend the wine tasting first as an introduction to the region and also you will have wine for the remainder of your stay. We were picked up at our hotel in Valence by Paul. Visited and spoke to the wine makers at fabulous vineyards in Côte-Rotie, Crozes-Hermitage and Cornas. Highlight was our visit to Cristelle in Crozes-Hermitage who is delightful, very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Wines were outstanding. The piece de resistance however was a couple of hours spent in Cornas with Matthieu Barret,... More
