Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely few hrs here , grandchildren loved seeing all the donkeys etc and enjoyed the play area inside . Didn’t use the outside one because they found it to hot ( beautiful hot and sunny day ) there is no shade unfortunately. The animals all seemed relaxed and happy . I do believe a lot of the sight needs an upgrade it’s a tad shabby in places . The entrance fee for children I think could be bought down a bit !! I’m aware it’s a charity and they need all the money they can get but still 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had a fantastic day out with my nephew who is just under 2. We got there for just after opening and left at 3:30 baring in mind there was heavy rainfall in the afternoon. We spent about 45 minutes playing in the outside play area whilst the sun was shining before walking around, finding chickens, ducks, bunnies, horses, Shetland ponies, goats and of course donkeys! We brought feed for £1 a bag (same price as a sanctuary we had been to earlier in the week) and fed the donkeys which were friendly, easy to feed and comical. At 12 we got to groom 3 donkeys, the staff were ever so friendly and helpful.

After lunch we played indoors for about 2 hours. There's a separate section for under 3's which was a bit dated but my nephew couldn't care less. There was another separate section to ride around in little tykes cars and then another to race around in peddle tractors which was a big hit! The soft play was bigger than I expected with 2 tunnel slides and a drop slide (which I was brave enough to try). Plenty to climb and run around.

I think the price is reasonable as the farm is kept open on admission and donations, they have charts up to show how expensive it is to keep the place operating and rescuing the animals. If you take the time to read the animal descriptions and care about animals you will not begrudge the price. If I lived local I would get an annual pass.

I've seen other reviews saying it's only good for a few hours but I really think that depends on the age of your child. There were plenty of other young children there from opening and only left for the school run for their siblings.

I would definitely recommend wearing wellies even on a nice day. My nephew stepped in (on purpose) the grossest puddle whilst grooming the donkeys and he absolutely stunk. We all found this hilarious and just decided to throw his socks away 😂

4 stars as some things could do with updating as mentioned in other reviews but as I said kids don't really care as long as they are having fun and my nephew definitely did!

We took the grandchildren. It was a great day. They thoroughly enjoyed it. The Donkeys were lovely and they loved the play barn. Only down side was the toilets were not as clean as I would have liked.

Thank you again for a day of peace and tranquility at our favourite donkey park. Lots of cuddles with the donkeys and goats.
Lovely lunch as always. Thank you all.

We went thinking it was going to be like the donkey sanctuary in Deavon, boy were we disappointed. Firstly it advertised 100 donkeys, we counted around 20, and half of those we couldn't get too, a coffee cost £3.50 and was in a small take away cup, I don't pay that on the high street.
The 2 pigs had a terrible enclosure which was just rough ground , the whole place desparately needed some major TLC, the ponies and donkeys that we did see had minimal bedding.

Very expensive for what it is. They would probably have more footfall if they reduced their prices a bit. £9 for over 2s, £8.50 for adults. There isn't a great deal to do there if it's raining. Last went when there was a £5 per ticket deal on, can't say I'd pay full price for 2 adults and 3 children. Nice hot chocolate though

We really enjoyed our day today. We loved feeding the Donkeys and seeing the other animals too. Ignore the old pictures above . This must be old .The soft play area is in excellent condition and is extremely safe. Both my young toddlers were free to explore safely . Outside has a large play area too. This place is extremely popular . So the car park can get full after lunch.

Was disappointed to see the place so run down.

We saw two rabbits , one goat, and dozen donkeys plus some ducks wandering around, which I think should be quarantined due to bird flu restrictions currently in Cornwall. I get that it is a sanctuary but at the price we paid to get in I had hoped for more.

Inside the soft play was clearly once good but very dirty and damaged in several places. The kids don’t care about that but I do.

It was raining so we didn’t use the outdoor play area so can’t comment on them.

Like all these places, it has so much potential but probably hasn’t got the money to invest to make it great.

Spent our annual visit here on our Silver Wedding Anniversary..what could be more relaxing than wandering around feeding and stroking donkeys. Lots of other animals to see too. Had a lovely lunch here as well. This is a family run business so go along and support them whilst getting away from the hustle and bustle.

The animals on view and the play area are great, there has been a lot of money spent on the indoor play area at some point. Staff are friendly. It's not hugely suitable for those with mobility issues, but it is a working farm.
However the entry fees are fairly expensive, I understand it is a charity and we are living in tough times - but children paying £9 to get in is a little pricey when you have a family to bring. Given the remote location and the limited time you can spend here, they ought to do some offers to entice people to visit time again. I saw a yearly membership, but what about a family ticket or reducing prices slightly. I don't know, the pricing structure will be a deterrent for some familiesGood who just can't afford it.
