Took a speedboat tour out to Hong Islands. About a 25minute journey out. Got to snorkel on 3 beaches and viewed Hong Lagoon from the boat. Waters are generally clear and we got to spend about 45min to 2 Islands and 2h at our last stop for lunch and relaxation. Snorkelled at all 3 stops. Saw plenty of fish and... More

Very peaceful compared to Phi Phi. We took a tail boat and were there early. Around 9am. There were only two other couples on the island at this time. It was very peaceful until the "speed boats" show up dropping people off in masses. Take a taxi to where the tail boats are by Hong and take those early in... More

The trip to Hong Island was a memorable part since it was calm and opportunity for snorkeling . With the perfect weather , the colors of water and sky were amazing. Not many fishes variety but was good for kids as they practically came to the shore.

Great place, Beautiful nature around the lagoon and all over the island. Diving with the fish that don't swim away when you get near them. Well worth the visit aprox 2500 bat for the day on a private boat for two of us.

I took a full day long boat trip to the Hong Islands. There are many tour booking shops along the main strip in downtown Ao Nang that offer this package. There were three island stops, all with beautiful views. The snorkeling was great...both from the beach and off shore from the coral reef, although I saw a wider variety of... More

Great cove to swim in. Little murky from sand and waves for snorkeling, but cool fish and rock formations to explore. Small adventure hike. Cool village with food and drinks. Make sure to go during high tide so boats can take you into hidden lagoon.

Try to catch the earliest your possible tour so that you avoid tourists that will swarm the island. Many island are national parks and require a 400 baht fee (per person). Wear aqua shoes if you have them to all islands.

It cost 300 baht to stop off at pretty much every island - boat trips do not necessarily include this cost so be aware. If 4 adults visit 4 islands, this is potentially a cost of $135 to actually get off your boat to visit them.

Really enjoyed the time I spent in Hong Island. The weather was just perfect, not too hot not too chilly, just perfect. A group of 6 people rent a long tail boat and we went to the island. We were the last ones to leave the island so we had chance to take nice pictures and enjoy the island away... More
