Nice place to visit. Beautiful nature, over 70 percent of an island is wooded. Nature park by Sobra village has 2 lakes, warm and cold. Make sure you rent a bike,MUCH MUCH EASIER TO SEE, whole park. Swim in warm lake.

Mljet National park Mljet is on one of the largest (and greenest) islands off of the Croatian coast. The pine forest, salt lakes, historic ruins, birds and unique plants offer a welcome and relaxing contrast to the bustling city-scapes of Dubrovnik and Korkula. It is...More

There is so much to see of this beautiful national park, make sure you take your walking gear. The lakes are amazing and so peaceful. You can hire bikes or canoes, there are also trips over to St Mary's island.

I was on sailing in Croatia this summer and I spent a day on the island. The best way to get to know national park is on bike. You can rent it anywhere. A bike trail goes around two beautiful lakes which are connected with...More

Mljet is the greenest Croatian island, and that's not the only attractive thing about it, but salt water lakes as well. Unfortunately we couldn't spend a lot of time there, but the 4 or 5 hours we were at national park were very relaxing even...More

We docked in Pomena for the afternoon and decided to hire bicycles to cycle in the national park. You can hire them in two locations or at the dock or at the lakes (where the bridge is between the two lakes)

We took a ferry over and spent more than half a day cycling around. We didn't cycle around the entire place as we were quite lazy. We found a very nice and beautiful spot to lay out our picnic mat and food. A very nice...More

Although the park covers a huge area, it’s the lakes that are the popular bit and the paths around the lakes are great for walking and cycling – there’s a nice easy, fairly flat, 8km loop round the big lake. You can rent kayaks and...More

Sorry I can’t help you as we sailed to Polaće and never went to Pomena. The only bus we used was the National Park bus from Polaće to the actual Park itself and back. It was part of our ticket price.
