Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunday 14th January and we walked to short distance along the Monkey Trail across the headland from Ao Nang Beach to this Beach.

As we descended down onto to the beach we were approached by a security guard and asked to sign in. The beach actually belongs to Centara beach resort, so they record who arrives on the beach and as they leave. Think all non-hotel guests had to be off the beach by 18.00.

It is a secluded stretch of beach in a cove with golden sands, flanked at both ends by dramatic headland with cliffs and washed by the water's of the Andaman Sea.

Like the other beaches there are no facilities here, sunbeds or umbrellas. The only shade here is provided by the cliffs and some trees along the beach.

There are no shops, restaurants or bars here, so for those visitors intending to spend some time here, everything required for the stay if brought with you.

One of the features on the beach is the Pai Plong Floating Pier, which we walked along to the end. From the Pier it was the nearest we got on land to the impressive Ao Nang Tower, some wonderful views.

Nearby the Pier there are some canoes for hire. It is possible to purchase a day pass to use the facilities of the Hotel, no idea how much this costs.

We stayed here long enough to walk the length of the beach and Pier and enjoy the scenery, we then walked back to Ao Nang along the Monkey Trail.

It was a very unusal way to get to a beach, via the Monkey Trail, there was some wonderful scenery including Ao Nang Tower. It all combined to make our visit here a bit if an enjoyable adventure but not to be repeated.

Approached the beach in the usual way via monkey trail, about a 12 adult and young around on the Ao Nang end with a few tourists ignoring the the no feed signs. Steep climb up steps and down to the beach, not easy with old knees. Sign in on arrival and departure with security at the bottom of the steps. As said very little shade if busy, but fabulous views and beach. Hotel had a drinks counter on the edge of their property, v small tin of Chang Thb140 and a bottle of small water Thp90. Worth the visit for views but be aware of little shade in the heat of the day.

I have been coming to this beach for several years and have been disappointed by the way some tourists have treated this beach by leaving their fag buts and other rubbish behind. This year there have been improvements but unfortunately some tourists are unable to read the signs that smoking is not allowed on the beach.......please can we enforce this.....fag ends are not nice and they kill fish.

Went on the monkey trail and was very lucky to see 3 monkeys that looked like mum dad and baby so that bit was great, continued on the trail which wasn't great underfoot for alot of it,water very clear and shallow, decided to do kayaking from centara after looking at reviews saying 200baht an hour, this only being true if you are a centara guest, otherwise it's 500 BAHT for 2hours even if you only want an hour it's still 500 BAHT,it wasn't the money why we decided not to do it but the awful attitude of the guy with the kayaks,it did put abit of a damper on it,but pleased we did the walk and saw the monkey's

Hidden Beautiful beach cove, not to crowded, pure white sand and surrounded by stunning limestone cliff. Part of a national park and the Centara Beach Resort, absolutely picturesque. You can rent a kayak for 200 Baht/hour,or just swim or lay on the white sand. Amazing. The Centara Resort coast club serves up delicious food and drinks.

This is a very nice beach close to Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas. Quiet and clean. No facilities on the beach itself. You must bring your food and drinks. There are restaurants in the hotel you can use. The access is via the Monkey Trail from Ao Nang. The trail is a nice, 10 mins walk from Ao Nang. I advise you to have good footwear; no flip-flops. This trail is not recommendable for persons with walking disabilities.

Quieter and cleaner than Ao Nang as less boat traffic comes in. Easy walk of about 1km from the Ao Nang long tail area and you can either walk up and over the monkey trail or at low tide walk road the head land. No vendors available due to the hotel (can pay a fee of 5000 bhat!!) so take own food and water.

This is a little beach at the end of the monkey trail from Ao Nang, and is well worth visiting. It is quite beautiful, especially compared to Ao Nang beach, and quite peaceful except for the odd passing longtail!
Take the Monkey Trail, or just walk around the headland at low tide. Of course, the best option is to reserve a room at the Centara Grand...just sensational!

A bay tgat can be accessed on feet through a dangerous wood made stepway and by boat. Magnificent views but somehow the waters here are full of branches, sheets and generally looks muddy. The beach is semi organized with sunbeds from the close Centara reasort.

To reach Pai Plong Beach from Ao Nang beach you can access it by going through monkey trail to the far end of right or take one of the taxiboats. I have to warn you though that going through monkeytrail in the heat is very warm and a bottle of water is recommendable.

When you arrive to the beach after monkey trail you have to write your name in cause youre entering a national park (free of charge). You may buy a daypass to use the hotels facilities. We didint do this and didnt need to pay for the servicerooms that was free of charge. The servicerooms are more in european way and very fresh.

It is Said on a sign that here you bath on your own risk so I dont know how much control they have over the jellyfishes.

When its low tide you can see small crabs in the sand and beautiful images they make in the sand. But you have to look closely cause they are tiny!

The water is fresh and clean and its a beautiful landscape. There are no shops around here so kring plenty of water. You can but a big bottle (1 liter) at the restaurant for 190 bath, usually around 20 bath in stores. If you feel hungry there is also a restaurant with different dishes, the prices are above average around 200-500 bath.
