After we landed, we booked a private taxi to take us to our hotel in Ao Nang. The price is reasonable and immediately after payment, the driver who was very professional took us to our hotel in half an hour.

Brilliant!! 150 Bhat per person to travel to our hotel, circa 15-20 miles away. if you keep your taxi ticket and re-book the service to take you back to the wonderful, quaint Krabi Airport the cost then is just 100 Bhat per person.

The departure area of the airport has several ground transportation services but to find a taxi I had to go outside and look around. Eventually I saw a couple of taxies about 500 feet to the left.
