About
Strong undercurrents and powerful waves make swimming here dangerous, but the soft white sands at this beach make it an ideal hang-out spot.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a postcard pretty beach of white sand. It seems to stretch on forever, running from the rocks at Land’s End to the base of Pedregal to the west. Since it’s on the Pacific side, Solmar is not a swimming beach. No matter, it’s perfect for walking, whale watching, or sunsets. It you’re looking for a beach without vendors, this is your beach! Access is off the Boulevard Marina and through the Grand Solmar, Terrasol, or Playa Grande resorts. Our view of Playa Solmar (which by the way literally means “sun sea”) was from the water on a whale watching tour. I read that sometimes you might be able to climb the rocks from Divorce Beach to Solmar. Don't even think about it! We saw some powerful shore-breaks. Rogue waves have even been known to drag walkers into the water.

I love walking this beach in Cabo. With its powerful and ever changing waves, the energy of this beach is something I look forward to when I vacation here. Access is limited to those staying at one of the resorts on this side, so it makes for peaceful enjoyment of this beach. It is not a swimmable beach but watching the fishing boats go by is fun too!

This has been a beautiful beach that is being seriously encroached upon by Solmar Land's End. While the resort is going to be beautiful (the construction noise is horrible!); the loss of the amount of pristine beach is very sad...
