We were so disappointed in Balandra that we tried Playa Tecolote instead. Wow!!! The beach is vast with white sand and lots of shells. You can see Espirit du Santu out on the aqua/turquoise waters - really serene and picturesque, Although there are not a lot of people on the beach, there are some lucky gringo campers taking advantage of... Beach was a lot more rough than Balandra. There are restaurants there and we ate at Palapa Azul and were given a great seat practically in the ocean (it was that close). Buildings are all a bit run down, but food was good and people were friendly. Once you get away from the restaurant area, the beach is very wide... More

This is a beach that has actually waves and lots of sea birds. There are a couple of restaurants in the area they are not fancy. It is a good spot to visit in conjunction with Balandra Beach where there are no restaurants-well there are trucks with some food normally and street food sellers, but not a formal restaurant.

Fun beach, rented jet skis, snorkeled, swam, floated, relaxed in the beautiful waters. There were some umbrellas available, without one you would have to be in the water, it is very hot! The water is very clear and comfortable temperature! Saw lots of fish, puffer, coronet or trumpetfish, lots of others I didn't recognize. The trash cans were overflowing the... More

Only turnoff for this beach was the rocks mixed in the sand. nothing you can do about nature but try another beach... A few restaurants sprinkle the beach and a few activity options. nicely tucked in the cactus filled hills. Its quiet here and not packed...

Wonderfully long beach! The snorkeling around the rocks at the left end of the beach is excellent. We rented a palapa which included a table and chairs, which was convenient. Lovely!

Very nice beach with several restaurants. Bus service runs to and from the Malecon. Bring a cooler like the locals do and have a picnic if you plan on staying for the whole day. You can also schedule your espiritu santo tour from this beach.

The food was great, but we waited and waited for our waiter to even realize we were there. He didn't have a CLUE that, HELLO, we are a bunch of hungry and thirsty women, with money to spend, and we were virtually ignored the whole time we were there. We had to walk up to the kitchen/bar to order food... More

My family and I are use to have good food and good service. Here the good food is close to be ok, but more average. Definitively the service is bellow average... The price is a little bit expensive than what I saw in La Paz.
