My family and I are use to have good food and good service. Here the good food is close to be ok, but more average. Definitively the service is bellow average... The price is a little bit expensive than what I saw in La Paz.

The drive (1/2 hour north of La Paz) was lovely, mostly alongside the water and through desert on a well-maintained, 2 lane road. We had both breakfast and lunch at this restaurant, on separate ocassions. Both were relatively inexpensive (especially the beer) and delicious. Service was a little slow, but not unexpected, as you truly are in a location where... More

Almost ad hoc, there are a few buildings, but most everything is brought in. We wanted jet skis, so a call went out and within an hour a man showed up with two. One was not in very good shape.

Come in the morning before the afternoon breeze. Decent snorkeling at the far west end, also some fish on rocky outcrops scattered 50 to 100 meters off the beach. Almost no people on weekdays so was like we had the place to ourselves.

We spent the afternoon here after spending the morning at Playa Balandra. We went to the restaurant on the far right as you drive in. The beach is beautiful, the people friendly, the food yummy, and all in all this is a great place to relax and spend the day. Exactly what 'baja' should be! If you like to get... More

Best to go in the week as it can get busy with local families at weekends. Went in the week - had it all to ourselves. Flat beach with white sand and easy access to sea. A few palapas but take your own umbrella as it can get very hot. Local tour operator nearby with two or three cantinas serving... More

We visited all the beaches in the area and El Tecolote was the last one to visit. It was a beautiful beach with numerous restaurants/bars to choose from. You can catch a boat from here to go do all the area snorkeling. It also has bathrooms which some of the other beaches don't have.

Gorgeous spot. Not a lot of fish to see in the clean turquoise waters but thoroughly enjoyable because of the scenery. Have returned many times just to sit swim and watch.
