    Well worth a visit.
The Malecon is well worth a visit. It is on the flat which means it's ideal for people of a certain age. There are lots of people jogging, biking, and rollerblading. There are many benches to sit on and watch the world go by. Very pleasant indeed.

    Fun in the Sun
A fun way to explore the beach town vibe of La Paz. You can rent bikes and electric bikes, but these are all recumbent tricycles. When we were there, they were having a sand volleyball tournament and a group of people were doing outdoor Zumba. It was very lively and seems to be lively until the wee hours of the morning! We ate at two places along the Malecón. One was a clean living inspired fair. It was okay but not spectacular. The other place we ate at was the Olivo Pizzeria above La Posada de las Flores. Can’t recommend this place enough! The food was delicious, great service, beautiful ambience, and view! We’re thinking of staying at the inn on our next visit. In all, a great place to stroll, people watch, eat, and enjoy the beach.

Nice walk along the Malecon with plenty of statues to see
Walking up and down the malecon gave us something to do while we were in port from a cruise ship. They have beautiful statues everywhere and some great picture opportunities. There's also a large LA PAZ sign to take pictures with (just know they have a guy standing there taking pictures for you for a tip...and he's terrible...at least the guy that was there that day. Make sure you check them out before paying him. We weren't looking at the camera, walking up to the sign and hair in our face...terrible. So we took our own pictures). There's also a skate park in the area if you are a skater. Then plenty of places to stop and eat at as well. There's a farmers market for fresh goods along a side street.

    La Paz is awesome!
We have been to Cabo so many times we thought we would take the drive to La Paz. I booked a room at a really nice b&b, Casa Juarez, knowing we would stay the night. We were so presently surprised when we got there. We stayed around the Malicon, which is a long boardwalk along the beach. There are so many nice restaurants and bars to choose from. We had dinner at Casamarte. Amazing food and atmosphere. Went to Tortuga beach before dinner and watched the sunset, which was amazing. What I noticed most besides not a lot of Americans compared to Cabo, was the prices at the restaurants were half of the cost of Cabo, and the quality of the food was exceptional. We will definitely go back for a longer stay.

A long, hot 225 mile trip to find out the Malecon was taped off. A major letdown! What was particularly frustrating, there is a very wide bike lane, next to the Malecon, that walkers COULD share with the bike riders, but most of them were quite rude and made frequent “attempts” to convince you they did not want or expect to share! It clearly appeared the City wanted to force walkers to walk across the street where the shops are, at least the 50-60% that were open! Once we saw that, except for some nice sculptures, it was just a long walkway overlooking the same beach, We choose to take a few pixs and leave the Malecon to the bike riders! The Big Box stores are killing downtown and, in my opinion, is turning LP into “just another tourist Beach town” located anywhere in the world. The staff persons in virtually every shop, restaurant, even our hotel, but one, acted almost bored with our presence like it was a distraction from their phones! More amazing, in most cases, we were their first, and possibly only, customers of the day! I’d for years about the Malecon and LP in general and really wanted to have an alternative to Cabo, but after this visit (with a guide, by the way), I have to say Cabo feels more like Baja and LP feels like Pismo Beach!

I love La Paz's Malecon.

When you walk along the Malecon, you are absorbed into Mexico, surrounded by local families taking walks, groups of friends chatting, joggers running after (or before) work, young folks skating along on roller skates or boards.. The Malecon is broad enough to accommodate these various activities

The Malecon is actually a stone tile walkway, several miles in length, along the city's waterfront. On one side, the Ensenada de la La Paz, sprinkled with small boats, pelicans, herons, terns, gulls. On the other side, a variety of eateries.

I find this area so relaxing. A place to be a tourist without feeling like one.

You really can't go to La Paz without "doing" the malecon. It's a central attraction in the city, really, spanning the harbour front and providing fodder for people-watching, appreciating the harbour, finding good food, and getting some exercise. There is lovely public art, a great variety of restaurants, and a nice flat place to walk, run, cycle (on the bike path), skateboard, and rollerblade. Don't miss it.

In La Paz you can enjoy a walk of 4 kms and unforgettable sunsets on the Sea of Cortez. I suggest you a visit at the handycraft centre where the prices of the work are bargain indeed. The place is really huge and peaceful, but especially very clean.

We walked down to the Malecon every day. It is so nice to stroll along watching the people enjoying themselves, the children playing and the sun sparkling on the beautiful water. Having something like this within walking distance of your home would be mind-blowing!

The Malecon is a great place to walk. There are restaurants, cafes and tourist information centers. There are 7 interesting and beautiful sculptures along the wide walkway. The colors of the water are varied with shades of blue and green.La Paz is a beautiful city where the sea meets the desert. The cacti are everywhere along the roads and on the hills. The city is clean, uncongested and very walkable.

Walking along this boardwalk is very relaxing, it is super clean and safe, you can walk along it, rent skates, scooters, skateboards, etc. You can buy a snow or a corn and walk along this wide boardwalk, it is full of very cool and beautiful sculptures. For me it is one of the best boardwalks in Mexico. It is important to visit it mainly after the sun goes down or at night, during the day the sun is very strong and you do not enjoy it.

It's is very clean and taken cared of very well. A wonderful place to go for a morning and afternoon walk with the family. The amount of stores and restaurants is incredible and the service is absolutely amazing. I would happily recommend this place to anyone who likes to enjoy a hot and breezy day while looking across the water.
