El Malecon is a long walkway along the shoreline in La Paz, Mexico. The walkway is very wide and dotted with sculptures. All the business are on the other (inland) side of the street, so the views of the harbor and bay are unobstructed. A...More

Nice for strolling, taking in the beauty of the water and all the sculptures, and seeing local families playing and working. Tour operators can get a little aggressive trying to get you to sign up for a tour, but it's not overwhelming.

The walk is very busy all the time with a lot of attractions waiting for the visitors. Despite the many people, you feel safe all the time and get to see the nice places La Paz has to offer.

Other reviews mentioned construction, but most of that was on a few side streets, nothing out of the ordinary for any city. It was clean, safe and hosted a lot of fun activities in the evenings. All kinds of restaurants and bars, and some shops,...More

The Hotel Blue is where we stayed, the room was very reasonable and included breakfast. It was a couple of blocks from the Malecon. If you are looking for a tour operator, I can highly recommend VIP. Enjoy!

Balandra Beach--our favourite--less than half an hour from la Paz by car. Other beeches right in the city, at either end of Malecon.
