Mission church

Mission church established in 1700s. Important part of Mexican, Baja history. Easy to get to. Across from plaza. Excellent example of an early mission.

Four of us went to Todos Santos (one had not been there before), so one of our first stops was the Mission Church -- next to the open lot that was filled with local artesanos. The first-timer was really impressed and she wanted some photos to take back home to show her congregation. It was quiet inside (until a ship... More

The front part of the Church, now a vestibule/chapel, IS the original Mission. The expanded Church is perpendicular to it and obviously newer. Confessions are heard at 6 p.m. on Thursdays, in the original Mission. You line up for Confession by sitting on the left (Marian) side of pews, and people kind of move forward in the pews to have... We went in on Christmas Eve . The Nativity scene was lovely . The building has been restored , but it still has the character of the early Mission . It is lovely and serene , we said a Christmas prayer .

if you are in town, drop in. It is a nice church, but don't expect a historical mission as it is completely refurbished.

We spent a couple of hours wandering around the town. The mission is really a lovely little spot with a nice view right near by.

What a classic piece of history that was key to the settlement and development of Todos Santos.. In the song, Hotel California, it is her mission bells you hear from each of the 13 boutique rooms...:)

We make a point of visiting early Missions wherever we are as they have so much history. We were a little disappointed as this was rebuilt so very little remained of the original mission. It still is worth a trip, and the surrounding town is just charming. Thoroughly enjoyed our day to Tados Santos. This is an active Church.

We visited Todos Santos during our trip to Cabo in April. We stopped to see the Misione de Nuestra Senora de Pilar. It's a nice church with a real congregation. Very serene atmosphere. Worth checking out if you're in Todos Santos.
