Went here with family on a private day tour from a cruise ship. The chapel was very quiet, serene and has a sad story about why it was built. The views from the chapel over Acapulco were amazing and it is worth going here for pictures. The toilets at the chapel were really dirty/ a mess and we were charged $1... More

Very beautiful and full of history. It has a wonderful view of the bay and Acapulco. The story of why it was built and the family was interesting and sad.

We visited this place whilst on our tour with Roger Dodger of Rudy's Tours (an excellent tour company). A very touching and interesting modern story of love and devotion goes along with chapel and coupled with an excellent view it makes for a touching visit.

The death of two sons brings about an Acapulco memorial. The Chapel built by a family to honor a pledge to God is now maintained by the city of Acapulco. For a fee, many are enshrined there. Great views and a very lovely place. Church services are held there each Sunday

Beginning with the truly sad story of the wife in a wealthy family of Acapulco, who owned the entire mountain retreat where the Chapel de la Paz was eventually built to make it easier for her to go to Church, which she reportedly did daily. The death of her two boys..wow. Excellent story and the views are remarkable. the Cross... More

A beautiful setting and view of the city and bay. A spectacular chapel built by a private person for his wife and later donated to the public as a non denominational chapel where services are still held.

Despite the cross, this is not a purely Christian experience - but I think it is deeply spiritual. The chapel exudes such a wonderful aura of peace and tranquillity coupled with the most exquisite views of Acapulco that we had difficulty tearing ourselves away.

Definitely worth the drive or the taxi ride to get here. The best views of Acapulco anywhere around. And very quiet cool and peaceful a nice place to spend 30 to 45 minutes taking in the views.

The chapel is worth visiting for its stark architecture. The gated community in which it is sited has beautiful homes. For me, however, the most worthwhile aspect of my visit was the view of Acapulco from the hill on which the chapel is built. Strongly recommended.
