Worth the visit for great fun in the ocean

Be sure to take your own food and water. Enjoy snorkeling, wading, swimming, paddle boarding and other activities on a beach a little more protected from the ocean waves.

You pay to get to the island about $50 pesos per person, once you get there, it has a nice beach area. There aren't big waves and the shore isn't that deep so it's a great place for kids. They rent the chairs and tables and sell food. You can take snacks and drinks and just rent the chairs for... More

We took a glass bottom boat from the Boca Chica Hotel over to Isla La Roqueta. We climbed up to the lighthouse, and there we were able to enjoy the most amazing view of the city! It was worth the uphill walk!

It was on the Palao boat and the restaurant was also called Palao. No hotel pickup but that's fine. When we arrived at the pier, we were the only 2 people that were on time! We went out snorkeling. The water was perfect, lots of cool fish and pretty coral and the locals stay far enough back that you won't get run over. We'll go back to actually hike on, what appears, to be a very beautiful island.

We spent an afternoon very comfortable, I was surprised such a magnificent degree of cleanliness, both on the beach and in the sea, all staff there works very friendly and attentive. A family atmosphere. Widely recommended.
