Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked this tour on Valentines Day. The dinner at the Perla Restaurant has great view from the dining tables. However when we arrived we had to wait for our table then when we were seated we had to wait for our menus and the table was not set. The candles not lit and the light next to our table was out. We finaly got served our first drink after an hour and were served our appetizer an hour and a half after we were seated. The food was of inferior quality and service was despicable.

No-one came t collect us from the hotel; our hotel paid for a private taxi to take us to the venue.
The food was cold and when we complained they took it away, heated up the plate and served te same food back on a 'hot' plate. The food was still cold but warming through from the heat of the plate. Since we had both chosen chicken dishes, this was a little concerning and we again complained. We eventually left, hungry but having seen a small section of the evening's show. We were told that the tour operator woud contact us the next day but we are now home in the UK and still waiting for 'contact'. I shall be raising a dispoute with my credit card company. If you want to see the drivers, just go to the public viewing area. Forget the food.

We saw the divers during the day at 1:00 and also at night at 9 while enjoyed a delightful dinner and wine. We particularly enjoyed our margaritas and visit to the historic and famous Flamingo Hotel. The music was lively, the people were friendly. Our guide, Jesus, was the best.

The spectacle of the divers in the Acapulco ravine is a practically obligatory visit for any tourist who visits the port.
The tour with dinner takes place at the La Perla restaurant located in the El Mirador hotel.
This hotel is located practically in front of where the divers jump and has an enviable view. As for the dinner and the service, it can be said that they are good.

Everyone raves about the cliff divers and yes it is quite high and yes it is wavy but they did about 4 dives then asked for money. We paid to get in and for the show, we paid for dinner which was simple at best and the service was pretty poor not over busy but took ages for service then we got hounded by the divers.
Not a particularly exciting day/night.

The restaurant allows a good view from a distance. It is expensive and the food average at best. Pay a small entry fee and walk down the steps for a much closer view. The Vista is wonderful and the divers daring. They will pose for pics (tips)and are very appreciative. Worth your time. If your up to it, it's a nice walk up the road into the village with many banners of famous US actors and their time in Acapulco.

Watching the amazing skilled cliff divers is a must see when in Acapulco, but its not somewhere you'll want to return over and over. Show lasts about 1/2 hour and costs 40 pesos (adults) per person. Skip the terrible over-priced 3-course dinner at La Perla and either eat before / after the show somewhere else.

My guide:-

I wanted a solo trip and that’s what I got! Fantastic service. Collected me on time at Banyan Tree Acapulco in Air conditioned luxury vehicle. We shared the sunset at La Vista restaurant including dinner and a pretty fireworks display in the bay and on to the cliff dives for the evening diving performance which, you have to see to believe! Especially the fire at the end.
Forget the rest and book the best!
