This town is a short (inexpensive) cab ride from the Dreams Hotel. Excellent, safe shopping location. The jewelry stores and other shops have great deals on quality gifts and memorabilia. We took a cab ride into Santa Cruz and walked the beautiful new walkway through the hills into town. Very safe.

We enjoyed our walk through town, had a nice lunch and completed our souvenir shopping all in one morning. Very reasonable prices everywhere in this area. No pressure while wandering through town or looking at the various shops bars or restaurants

We drove all day to several towns around the area. La Crucecita was the best it had more shopping and restaurants. Everybody was very friendly.

It has a neat square with multiple shops and restaurants well lite up and gets enjoyable and live on weekend evenings. However it's not known where it's safe and where it's not. Absolutely crowded with locals and not many tourists under 60. I spent a week here and if I could redo it I would make it a day at... More

On a recent vacation we took a couple trips into town. When telling the driver where to drop you off it's safest to have the take you to the church or else they will take you to somebody that will give them commission if you buy something. The second trip in we just asked for "town square" and the driver... More

This old town is situated about a 10-minute cab ride from Dreams Huatulco. The one-way cost from Dreams to this town was 42 pesos (19 pesos to a U.S. Dollars February 10th/2017). The town itself has jewellery/clothing shops; restaurants (pizza, coffee, ice cream, and others that offer more options). I went to a textile shop that has real looms. The... More

We visited La Crucecita twice during our trip to Huatulco. On our first visit we went to the Catholic Church with the beautiful murals which is a "must see". We were approached by a nice man named Carlos who convinced us to stop for a margarita at the restaurant he manages below La Crema. Carlos was a nice enough guy... More

Always love jumping in a taxi and heading into La Crucecita. The town is always bustling with activity. We prefer going in at night when it isn't so hot and usually grab a seat near the town square to enjoy a couple cold ones and watch all the hustle & bustle. Very entertaining for sure and nothing to feel unsafe... More

The people of Crucecita are the friendliest people we have encountered in Mexico. When we were walking in the evening, they gave us a very good sense of feeling safe.
