We loved learning about Mexican cooking with Jane. She is a great teacher, so enthusiastic and patient and the food was absolutely delicious. I will be sure to take more of her courses upon my return to Huatulco.

If you are looking to experience something different and extraordinary, THIS IS IT. I love trying new foods and being from Montreal, I am not easily impressed. Learn about Authentic Mexican food made the aunthentic way with the story behind each ingredient. It was So Much FUN!!!! I even brought my 13 year old daughter...she had a blast! The setting... We accidentally found this class during our honeymoon in Huatulco. What a find. Jane is welcoming and made sure our experience was memorable. She is educated in the local customs and traditions and ties it all in with the foods we made. Great class. Great person. Fun time.

We truly enjoyed our morning spent at Café Juanita taking the "street foods" class. The food was amazing and we have implemented several things we learned already. Jane is an amazing teacher who clearly has a passion for the Oaxacan traditions and food culture. It was very profound to visit with her about the history of the things we were... More

Chiles and Chocolate is an extremely well run half day cooking class run by Jane Bauer. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience including eating the meal we prepared. The sensibility is clean, fresh and delicious! We'll be back next time we're down. Thank you, Jane! - John and Elizabeth

I can't say much that hasn't been said here already about Jane and her classes. I surprised my wife (an amazing cook/caterer) and it was the highlight of her week. We learned so much about making traditional, delicious food with minimal fresh ingredients - and drinks too! We have already made a lot of the food at home, although, we... More

Our "By the Sea" cooking class was such a great way to spend a beautiful morning in Huatulco. Upon arriving, we were introduced to each other, offered beverages and then promptly started the class when it was scheduled. Jane knew exactly what she was doing and introduced us all to different techniques in preparing the food while explaining a variety... More

This was our third cooking class with Jane over the years. Jane's classes are a great way to spend the morning meeting new friends and learning about the local cultural offerings while creating tasty treats! We are always excited to receive our recipe book and try our new skills at home. Jane is a transplanted Canadian entrepreneur with such passion... More

My husband and I attended Jane's class on Oaxacan street food! The time just flew by and we learned so many new things about food and the local area and culture. This is a must do adventure!!!! Only wish her Taco Food truck was around at the time we were there - would love to try her fish tacos.

5 years ago my sisters, niece and I took the street foods class at the old location in Santa Cruz. We loved it and I still make the salsa I learned there. As we were leaving I promised I would be back but I wanted to make mole the next time. Finally I had my chance! I wasn't sure you... More
