We love going to the Machado. We just go and walk, see what the vendors have to offer, the music and the small dance group is very entertaining. Love going mostly during the off-season. Less crowded.

You will find some of the best restaurants around the plaza...It's fun to have dinner here and then do some shopping with local vendors around the square on the weekends.

The Plaza Machado is in Centro Historico and is about a 30 minutes north along the coastal road, the Malecon. A nice taxi or pulmonea ride - but to far to walk.
