“Nice swimmable beach”
This one-mile stretch of beach is not recommended for swimming, but more for walks on its soft sand.

A Nice uncrowded beach along the malecon (boardwalk) with casual restaurants. On weekends the parasailers are available.

There is only one thing that distinguishes Playa Norte. It is where the little fishing boats come in. The guys clean (and directly sell) fish, and the best sight is all the pelicans begging scraps. Amazing how ungainly they are on land as opposed to...More

Nice to walk by, but this is where the fishermen all come in. Not the place to stay and suntan, or swim at.

A great place to go and get some photos. Nice beach but not a water beach, stay on the sand and enjoy the weather. I'm looking forward to this becoming a destination stop because the potential is there.

Great photo opportunities. Not swimming beaches, but beautiful scenery to look at! Great atmosphere and views of city will be better after the gas plant pollution cleared up .

I love Mazatlan but on playa norte I saw lots of garbage including a syringe and many razors. Do not swim here.

This is a nice beach with clean water. However, we had a camera snatched while I sat next to it on the beach. The locals and police were extremely helpful, and the thief was caught and our camera returned! The thief was not from Mazatlan....More

Mazatlecos flock to this beach on weekends, when it is filled with family groups, running children and games. There is a kiddie playground next door, and to the south of that there's a stretch of sand where the close-in fishermen line up their pangas after they...More
