Get transported to another time meandering through the streets. I especially enjoy walking along the river where, on a Sunday, you’ll find families having picnics on its banks while kids cavort in the rocky stream. Wander to the end of the cement path and you’ll...More

Many places to see and things to do. Don't forget to visit the cathedral. There are many shops, bars, restaurants and you are only 2 blocks away from the Malecon.

We’re staying in ‘ol Vallarta which is one of the diamonds in the rough, so to speak. A mix of old world charm, diverse neighbourhood. The people are kind & mostly happy no matter their circumstance. Cobble stone streets, an array of markets, shops, artists,...More

Puerto Vallarta is changing quick;y. They are tearing down 100's of old and historic buildings in the Zona Romantica and building modern ugly condos so that the wealthy can buy rental property, and rarely live there. Go soon because it's changing FAST!

Lots to see and do in the old (Romantic) town of Puerto Vallarta. Shops restaurants and artisans are everywhere here in old town. Bars all along the sidewalks are very popular as well.

We loved this little gem... it has been left to run down but it has a hidden beauty about it. We remembered it from years gone bye.

Friendly and very respectful people. Many street vendors, but that's how they are trying to make living.

Old Vallarta is becoming more touristy every year, but if you walk away from the beach it becomes increasingly old Mexican, and it is filled with wonderful shops and eateries that remain hidden except to the intrepid explorer. This is a foodie paradise. I've not...More
