Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice sandy beach stretching along the sea front with many places to access it. When we were there it wasn't too busy so it was very pleasant to stroll along it. Several sand sculptors were creating great sculptures. Quite a few restaurants on the edge and lots of sea birds diving into the sea for food.

Thursday 3rd February we visited this popular beach, along the Malecon in Zona Romántica. The promenade is lined with Hotels, holiday accommodation so the beach is rather convenient and therefore busy.

The most notable feature of the area is the Muelle (Pier) de Playa los Muertos and it's tall metal sail. The pier stretches out into the sea for a 100 metres (328 feet).

There is a beach, Playa los Muertos which straddles either side of the Pier. The name of beach translates as " The Beach of the Dead", because it was once the sight of a cemetery.

Lots of sunloungers and umbrellas were lined up on the golden sand, taking up a lot the beach.

There were also a number of beach sellers walking up and down the beach. There were some water sport activities available

Becoming more dangerous by the day. The lifesavers assured me that minimum distance from JetSki of 50m to bathers and 200 m to shore 'do not apply in Mexico'
I was hit yesterday by a rental JetSki ridden by a drunk local. About 15m from water. With plenty of bathers around. I asked lifesaver to file an accident report, he told me that any complain would be 'settled' with local authorities for 100 pesos ($5). No surprise - you have 100s times greater chance to die at this beach from JetSki

Not only is the beach terrific and the sand not too rocky or grainy, the restaurants that line it are delightful, with food and drinks available all day long, comfy chairs, great to watch people stroll up and down the water's edge. Some people are bothered by the non-stop vendors, but we find them delightful to talk to, even if we don't buy. If you want a special meal, go to La Palapa, one of the best restaurants in PV, right there in the sand. Dinners there are fabulous.

I ended up walking here to cool off after a treacherous hike in the mountains and so wasn't actually prepared for a beach day, but it was still so enjoyable. I walked along the edge of the water and took in all the sights. I loved how many local families were out enjoying the water. It is a very Love Is Love type of place so if that makes you or anyone in your party uncomfortable, it might not be the beach for you. I did see some vendors, but they weren't bombarding the beach or anything. tbh I expected the vendor situation to be a lot worse. The beach is pretty crowded, there are always beautiful people going to and fro, and it's a little loud. This beach is more energizing than relaxing. I loved it.

The beach is nice and some good restaurants around where you can use their beach chairs. But, the amount of vendors is absolutely out of control. Literally every 10 seconds a vendor is walking up to you while you’re trying to relax on the beach. It’s so annoying, I won’t be back.

Beach was the among the worst ever, definitely worst in PV. hawkers tried to sell you something every minute, you had to be rude and ignore them. Its not a nice beach, there are gorgeous beaches outside of PV. Its too crowded, and unpleasant. I loved the other beaches near PV.

Great area to explore! Great views, Food, Shopping and culture all steps away. Be sure to walk out of the area and don't get a cab until you are closer to the end of the Art walk area. Not a lot of legitimate Cabs, but plenty of people offering rides.

We found this beach close to the Zona Romantica called #lacarreta. Top bar without the hash tag called La Carreta (restaurant/bar)
I've enclosed pictures of the staff and the boss called Romi! Top people and it became our favourite bar all along the whole beach. Please visit this place! You will not regret the comfort, warm welcoming and sad goodbyes but knowing you will return.

Wow! Crazy place! We walked down Basilio Badillo, and ended up at Los Muertos. We walked out onto the famous pier, and local kids were jumping off. It was a summer weekend so packed with locals and visitors alike. You can rent water sports like paddleboards. We meant to come back because it was one large insane party place, and looked so fun, but didn't have time to return. Lots of beachfront eateries, and shopping on the street side of the restaurants. I wouldn't want to stay here unless I was a young party person (in which case, yes please!), but it is a great place to visit for the day. I'd like to see it lit up at night, too. It was very gay friendly, and good for families too. We walked up the beach all the way to The Marina.
