Dinner for 14, on our rooftop overlooking the bay, Mavi and her staff created an excellent meal as well as environment, and when they left the kitchen was cleaner than when they arrived. Thank you Mavi and crew.

My girlfriend and I were very interested in taking a cooking class in PV while here for 3 weeks and we found Mavi's. Because we were staying downtown Mavi was willing to meet with us at a favorite coffee shop and have us sample a little something for breakfast and try out a traditional coffee. Great start to the day!... More

If you want to explore the city like a local this class is for you. We spent the day going to local markets collecting the food we would need to prepare in our cooking class. it was so fun to see to see how fresh everything was and how much of a community feel you get by shopping around for... We took Mavi's class based on the recommendation of a trusted friend, who had done so a while back. There were three of us that day, all friends, and we were expecting insights in to Mexican cooking. What we didn't expect is how warm and welcoming Mavi is and her wealth of knowledge about local shopping, preparation, tradition and food... More

Spending the day with Mavi was one of the best experiences I've had in Puerto Vallarta. Between her knowledge of the area and her love of cooking it makes for an action packed and delicious day! Just going to and experiencing the different markets makes for quite the adventure. My friends back home have been impressed with the chocolate tamales... More

We come to P.V. often. We visited so many out of the way special markets that we would have never found. That was an experience in it self. Had so much fun cooking and learning new techniques. She is wonderful.

Taking Mavi's cooking class was TRULY the highlight of our trip. My husband and I visited PV for the first time last year. As soon as we knew we were going back this winter, we booked her class for the second time. It will be hands down, the best meal of your whole trip! It's a great way to see... More

After Mavi's shopping/cooking class was so highly recommended to me, I expected a lot from this adventure. From the moment Mavi greeted the other participants and I, I knew I was not going to be disappointed. She took us to the local shops where she shops herself for her classes and catering jobs. From the butcher to the fishmonger to... More

Meeting Mavi was a real pleasure. I was blown away by her expertise and had a wonderful time visiting the food markets and joining her in her kitchen to learn how to make some terrific dishes. Mavi was so kind and welcoming. Meeting her and taking her class was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Highly recommended as... More

A fantastic experience, my first time but obviously enjoyed as much by my brother and sister in-law who were returning. We learned where the best seafood, tortilla, dairy, and produce could be found. Then we experienced preparing traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes, which we enjoyed preparing as much as later eating. I can't wait to recreate the dinner for my... More
