Great leisurely place to wander. One of the nights the tide was right up over the boardwalk. Safe and cultural experience. Plenty of statues, real and human.

If you visit PV, you must walk the malecon. It's people watching, gorgeous atmosphere, And often nighty entertainment in the arches or the plaza. Go for the sunset. Go for the shopping. Go for some of the restaurants, especially at the end of the malecon by "old town" and Olas Altas.

I love the Malecon...I must say I am highly partial as a return vacationer to Puerto Vallarta for the past 20 + years. During the day it's a great place to get lunch, coffee or an ice cream. Around sunset the place comes alive with free entertainment and lots of shop and mix of locals and tourists strolling and stopping... More

El Malecon has really developed over the last 10 years-statues, art, vendors, entertainment and a great place to stroll after dinner or anytime. It is safe. Lots of food vendors selling grilled corn with Mayonnaise. The town has a great food truck scene for beef or goat Birria and home made corn tortillas.

A nice walk on the Malecon board walk for sight seeing and shopping. Be sure to visit the church. It is quite beautiful. Lots of entertainment and phot opportunities. Don't be sucked in by the guys trying to sell condos! Taxis are easy to come by.

From Hotel Rosita all the way to Olas Atlas, this seaside walkway give you beautiful views, statues and art, stores, bars, restaurants, sounds of the waves and beach access. We tend to walk nearest the waterside when the walkway is wide, to avoid the tequila hawkers...but hey if you are looking for tequila....

Walk at your leisure on the El Malecon. See beautiful views of Puerto Vallarta. Look at the beach and see wonderfully sand sculptures.By some of the posts you can also see statues done beautifully. Some days you can view art work done by local people. Of course there is good food and shopping near by. It's best to do this... More

You can shop, eat and drink, dance and play, relax and enjoy the sites on the boardwalk. We walked the Boardwalk during the day and evening.
