We were exploring Puerto Vallarta's old city; it's hard to miss the church given how predominant it is in the vistas from the boardwalk along the beach. The exterior of the church is beautiful, with its brick facade and larger bell tower. The interior surprised...More

Dramatic emotional pain felt from being here. Religion is not for me! I for one will not be returning.

Despite being referred to as a cathedral --it AIN'T. The altar is rather elaborate but not as much as many colonial churches. This one is fairly modern. You must climb about 10 steep steps to enter the church. The holy water founts are almost hidden...More

Spouse really likes to check out old churches on our travels if we can, so this was on our agenda from the get go. What can you say they all have their own character to go with the time in history when they were built.

A must see, the interior of the building makes you wonder how they built such a structure! I would come back to visit this with my family any day!

When you want to calmly think things over, guided knowingly, or not. This is the place. México has a strong belief in Virgin Mary. We pray to her in baby, newly mother or old mother. This church is for that style. In the valley of...More

It's an easy one block walk from the Malecon. Like most churches the architecture is appealing and the history is interesting. All in all it's another church.

We just happened past this beautiful cathedral and were enticed inside because of the music emanating from it. Perhaps it was a special occasion ( we have only limited Spanish) but it was one of the most cheerful experiences we’ve had in PV.

I’am sorry I don’t know about donation drop off times. The Church opens at 6 or 6:30 am for services.
