La Fuente is just one of those places you need to visit to check off your list of one-of-a-kind locales. This bar hosted the young and old, wealthy and poor, and locals and tourists. The crowd breaks into song at any given time. Its hot,...More

Over the years, the "Cantina" concept was snatched and turned into a more posh and sophisticated deal (sadly), however this place remains authentic and offers the real deal. Loud and informal, joyful and with no hip/hipster aspirations. Great Tortas ahogadas with Tacos dorados (local dish),...More

You want a local bar scene? This is the place. Not sure if this happens every night but the night we were there people took turns at the piano and other people traded off singing. Probably one of my best nights ever in a bar...More

A very noisy, old, classic place where you meet everyone from the construction worker to the CEO of any large corporation. Being in business for 95 years, this is it, the original cantina. Do not expect fancy food nor glassware. Just drinks and good times!

This place has not been cleaned in 50 years. I understand it is a landmark and is historical. I do not understand why you would want to seat in there and drink and eat. I would not drink anything that has ice in it or...More

Nothing fancy, but a true mMexican Taverna as it is supposed to be, a place for snacks, beer, musics and the occasional game of Balero.

La Fuente, the oldest bar in GDL, is a great experience to kick up your feet and enjoy a cold one without any pretense. Not a cantina in the old sense, this place is open to both men and women. Fun for locals and tourists,...More

How wonderful to find a place that is not trying too hard to be trendy, a "trend" that plagues all big cities these days. This is it: people of all walks of life coming in for a drink and to belt out a little UNESCO-approved...More

So this place is a dive bar. Millionaires and paupers go here. It's not fancy. If my friends weren't from the city, I would never have ended up here. Great fun at night. And great stop for a quick beer when you are in Centro.
