What a beautiful cathedral, so much gold and it is very large. The builder had a large amount of gold taken from the backs of the poor Indians for over 300 hundred years.

I always love churches, and within a square mile, you can feast your love for magnificent works of art. It's open to public most of the time and a romantic steps lead to a plaza where one can sit and relax.

The Basilica is not to be missed! The beautiful exterior painted in Gold and Terracotta, making for some breath-taking photos, and the interior is absolutely beautiful. A must-see!

Situated in the centre of Guanajuato on the Peace Plaza this is a very impressive building. It is used by locals and visitors as a place of worship. "Mother Mary" in pride of place denotes it as a Roman Catholic edifice. It is richly decorated.
