Good school of mines

The mineralogic museum is awesome. A must see for rock lovers. The location is nice at the top of a hill.

It was cool to see the mine. It was cool to go down. I am not a Spanish speaker so I didn't understand anything the guide said. My friends and I made this place fun by the pictures we were taking. The guide probably thought we were locos.

The mine was neat to see, and the tour guide was very nice. However, there were quite a few people on the tour and the guide could not cater to english speakers. A walk through the tunnels in town and a visit to Valencia Mines would make this trip unnecessary.

But, if one like rocks and minerals, it is pretty cool place. Tens of thousands of sample are stored in glass cases in a large (think high school gymnasium) room with... More

This excellent museum, more commonly known locally as el Museo de Mineralogia, is on the campus of the Escuela de Minas (School of Mines) on the outskirts of town. It has over 20,000 specimens and is considered to be one of the world's great minerology exhibits. In theory, you can get to the musem by taking the Presa-San Javier bus... More
